This pattern contains many pieces and requires a bit of a
work out on your hands. Be sure to take frequent breaks to
gently massage your hard-working hands. If you begin to
feel tension, simply place your working stitch on a stitch
marker (or safety pin) and take a break… you deserve it!

Directions (Page 1 of 4)
Lips (make 2)
Begin with yarn color A (white) and 4.5mm hook, MR.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 4 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed (4 st).
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc (8 st).
Rnd 3: 2 sc in the next 8 st, then sc in each st until end of rnd
(12 st).
Rnds 4-27: Sc in each sc (12 st).
Rnd 28: Sc in each sc, fasten off leaving a 18” tail to work
with later (12 st).
Note: I like to use the blunt end of a long knitting needle to
help stuff the narrow end of the lip. For this method, place
a small amount of stuffing inside the lip, gently press stuffing
with needle down into the end of the lip as needed. Repeat
until the lip is nice and plump.
Carefully stuff lip with non-allergenic fiberfill, packing
firmly but not over stuffing.

Here’s the
completed
Piranha plant.

Thread tapestry needle onto yarn tail. Whip stitch
around through FLO, pull closed, fasten off , DO NOT
CUT YARN TAIL.
Unthread tapestry needle from yarn tail, set lip aside.
