An alternative is to use a regular 7” X 7” brown box (the kind you get in the mail). Tape both ends of the
box closed. Measure down 1” from the top of the box and make a line all around at this point. On the bottom,
measure up 3” and also make a mark all around the box. These are you cutting lines.
Cut the box along the lines. You now have 3 pieces: a top, middle and bottom. Throw away the middle.
Glue completed crochet top to top of box. When dry, if you want, cut a piece of decorative patter the same size as
the inside top of box and glue in place.
Cut the sides of the bottom so the box will lay flat, you will need to glue or tape the inside flaps of the box
down. Trim sides about 1\4” so they will fit back under the lid once the crochet lining is in place. Place the lining
over the cut sides. If you want, glue down at this point and continue. If you would like a more finished looking
box, with the same color yarn as you used for the out side of the box, rep rnd 1-22 of box top. Sew this to the bottom
edges of lining.
