Notes for THOMAS ROBERTS:
Thomas Roberts was in Dover, New Hampshire as early as 1623, as he was chosen " President of
the Court" in 1638, replacing Captain John Underhill, who was expelled for various crimes. He also
held various minor town offices in Dover. He owned property on the east side of Dover Neck, New
Hampshire.
Thomas Roberts was a Quaker a long time in good standing, he possibly disowned his sons John
and Thomas, who were constables in Dover, for being to strict with the Quakers.
Thomas arrived in Pomroy's Cove, possible in New Hampshire, in 1623 as a passenger aboard the
"Providence".
