It seems that the IWC Ocean 2000 Bund was the last divers’ watch specifically designed for military use and, as dive computers become
more common, it seems that the era of the specialist military dive watch has finally come to an end. I hope that I have shown in this
article how most of what we consider to be iconic diving watches have in their DNA watches originally designed for combat swimmers,
perhaps the toughest military personnel in the world, and that in the future you will look upon the diver’s watch on your wrist with a
little more respect.
