Stereotypes about French culture – How true are they ?

In France the sterotypes are many, some are funny, others wicked. And
the image of France is not the same everywhere. What are these
stereotypes? Which are true, which are false ?
Food
Stereotypes are many on food, for example
the France is known for the quality of
restaurants (In 'Ratatouille', the pixar
animation, the story is in french) is true. But,
we say that France eat frogs and snails, it's
not really true ! Sometimes for the holidays.
French eat many bread ! It's really true ! We
have many bakeries ! We drink any wine, yes,
we have many vineyards.
The French eat a lot of cheese. Yes, We have
a lot of cheese !
Habits
Other countries all imagine a picture of the French.
The French all have a beret, scratches, and a scarf. Of course not ! The
French do not wash. Probably some, but not majority ! The french are snoob.
