Three stories. Three levels of reality.
Réalité, an eight year old girl, finds a mysterious VHS. Her desire of watching it turns into an
obsession.
Jason, a failed filmmaker, suceeds to convince Bob, a shady producer, to finance his first horror
movie. Bob accepts to do so on one condition: Jason has 48 hours to find the perfect scream.
Despite his wife’s advice, a psychiatrist named Alice, Jason progressively gets all mixed up and
confuses his dreams with reality.
Denis, a culinary TV host dressed-up in a rat costume, suddenly loses his self-confidence because
of an imaginary skin disease. He starts feeling persecuted and quickly loses his mind.
The stories and the characters progressively intertwine... What if Reality was just a result of these
different layers of fiction overlapping?

don’t grow up… or you will die!
On an isolated island, a group of teenage delinquents living in a youth center wake up to find
themselves alone with no one to watch over them. After much partying, their supervisor appears
out of nowhere, feverish and shaking. He suddenly attacks the students. They fight back and kill
him accidentally, leaving them no other choice than to flee the crime scene. As they run away,
they realize the island has been deserted. Or practically. The few adults they encounter on their
journey all seem to be infected by a mysterious epidemic, making them violent and dangerous.
It gradually becomes clear to them that children and adolescents aren’t affected by this disease.
In order to survive, they need to respect one golden rule : DON’T GROW UP. But one of them is
turning 18 very soon...

MARIE’S STORY is based on real-life events that took place in France in the late 19th century.
Born deaf and blind, Marie Heurtin, aged 14, is incapable of communicating. Despite the advice
of a doctor who believes she is “dumb”, Marie’s father, a humble artisan, cannot bring himself to
commit her to an asylum. Out of despair, he goes to Larnay Institute near Poitiers, where nuns take
care of young deaf women. Despite the Mother Superior’s scepticism, Sister Marguerite, a young
nun, takes this «wild little animal» under her wing and does everything she can to deliver Marie
from her darkness. Sister Marguerite is challenged by many setbacks and the terrible temptation
of discouragement, yet armed with her joyous faith and love for young Marie, she ultimately succeeds.
