• AGE CLASSIFICATION:

• Age of Elite Boxers: 19 – 40 years old
• Age of Youth Boxers: 17 – 18 years old

• AGE CLASSIFICATION:
Men Boxers with the age of 18:
 From August 31st 2014 until December 31st, 2016:

 Are allowed to participate in all Elite Competitions such as
AOB/APB/WSB on following their date of birth.
Based on the date of the day before the 1st day of competition.
 Are allowed to participate in Youth Competitions on following
their year of birth.

AOB – WEIGH-IN
• General Weigh-in:
The Boxer’s weight must not exceed the maximum nor the
minimum of the Boxer’s Weight Category.
• Daily Weigh-in:
Only the maximum weight limit will be controlled, not the
minimum
• No tolerance

• Official Weigh-in one day before the Match
• Tolerance 500 grams, will be allowed to compete however, the
Boxer will be penalized, financial and disciplinary aspects
• APB Title Bouts the tolerance is 1 kg

REST PERIOD BETWEEN BOUTS:
• AOB = 12 hours
• WSB = 10 days
• APB = 10 days – up to 6 rounds
• APB = 20 days – more than 6 and up to 8 rounds
• APB = 30 days – more than 8 rounds

• SCORING SYSTEM
• The Electronic Scoring System is based on a
“Ten Points Must System”
• AOB REFEREE AND JUDGES’ ASSIGNMENT

• Draw Commission assigns 1 Referee and 5 Judges for each
bout, without the position of the Judges, only names.
• APB/WSB REFEREE AND JUDGES’ ASSIGNMENT
• The Supervisor assings Referee and Judges

AOB – JUDGES’ POSITION
• R&J Coordinator calls the Referee and Judges to the FOP.
• When the Judges arrive at the FOP, they randomly draw the
Judge’s position using ping pong balls.
• The R&J Coordinator informs the Scoring System Operator the
position of each Judge.

JUDGES’ SELECTION
• Electronic Scoring System:
When starting the bout, the Computer randomly selects 3
Judges out of 5 and reveals this information with the official
decision of the bout.

• Manual Scoring System:
• If the Scoring System becomes defective, the Referee will
collect all 5 Judges’ score cards after each round.
• The Supervisor will randomly draw only 3 Judges out of 5.
• From the second round, the Supervisor will count the scores
from the same 3 Judges.

JUDGE:
 At the end of each round the Judges must determine the
winner of the round.
 It is mandatory, one Boxer must receive ten (10) and the
opponent nine (9) or less, depending on his judgement,
according to the criteria.

 Every round must have a declared winner – NO TIE.

• TIEBREAKER
• Electronic System:
Flashing lights on the Score Pad, indicating a tiebreaker
situation.
All Judges will then be required to break the tie by pushing the
Red or Blue button, and press OK to confirm the winner by
tiebreaker.
• Manual System:
When using Scorecards, on the last round, the Judge must
indicate the winner of the bout in case of a tie.

TIEBREAKER:
• A Judge shall declare the winner of the bout by tiebreaker if
one of the following three cases occurs:
 1 Judge - Tie and 2 Judges declare different winners
 2 Judges - Tie and 1 Judge declares winner
 3 Judges - Tie
 If 1 Judge – Tie and 2 Judges declare the same winner it
is not necessary the tiebreaker

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SCORES:

• The announcement of the scores on the live TV broadcast will
be made immediately prior to the commencement of the next
round.
• The 3 Judges’ scores of the final round shall not be disclosed or
displayed, until the winner of the bout has been announced.
• The unselected 2 other judges’ scores must not be disclosed.

PROTEST
• AOB, APB and WSB Competitions
 No protest against Referees’ or Judges’ decisions is permitted.
 The decisions of Referee and Judges in a bout are Final.
 AOB Competitions, if the Supervisor identifies that the decision
of the Referee has been taken in contravention of the Technical
and/or AOB Competition Rules, the Supervisor must review the
decision after the Session along with ITOs and R&Js.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
 Medical Certificate must be submitted on line and will be valid:
• AOB – 3 Months
• APB – One Cycle
• WSB – One Season
 Non Pregnancy Declaration for Women Boxers must be
additionally submit along with the Medical Certificate.

WP – POINTS (1):
At the end of a Bout, the winner shall be determined on the basis of
the total score of the Judges.
– Unanimous Decision:

 3 Judges appoint the same Boxer as the winner of the bout.
– Split Decision:

 2 Judges appoint the same Boxer as the winner and the
other Judge appoints the other Boxer as the winner.
 2 Judges appoint the same Boxer as the winner and
the other Judge declares tie.
