Dear Sir or Madam (aka awesome future employer),
Subject: Spontaneous application for a training period.
Currently student in third year at Brassart, Art and Visual Communication School, France, I am applying for
a trainee job in your company, which has to long at least 3 months, starting Mars 23.
My aim is to have a concrete contact with the world of work and communication, to develop my skills, work
on interesting projects with interesting people, and put it in practice with your company. I also want to use
my English, since I am not that bad but want to become even better, and discover a new country and new
points of view and daily life. I strongly believe that traveling is essential and allows us to meet not only other
people but ourselves. Plus, entering the «adult world » in another country is a bit of a challenge, isn’t it?
Your company got my attention for several reasons. First, your website is beautiful (a good point for a
graphic design studio, right ?). Secondly, the variety and quality of your work make me believe I can learn a
lot from you (which I really want, learning is important but only makes sense if you practice what you have
learnt). I find your work modern, original and powerful, and I especially like the «For the love of yog» ice
cream. I would eat some, you know?
What I can bring to your company is: a foreigner point of view, a lot of happy thoughts, implication,
empowerement and the will to always do my best. And, I’m funny (unless that is what other people say). I
am not going to lie: I tend to be shy at first, but I am working on it and it seems to work: I can now talk to
Curious, creative, dynamic and slightly organised, I like working in team. I’m (almost) always in a good
mood and everything nearly cheers me up (I think some people find it annoying, but it is better that complaining people, isn’t it?). Maybe I am a bit of a weird... but what is normal anyway?
For all these reasons, I am looking forward to hearing from you very soon.
I would like to meet you very much but my obligations as a student would not allow it (and crossing the
Channel is not that easy). You could contact me by Skype at klervia.martel or telephone at: +33 (0)6 20 18
