3. ORGANISATION PROFILE
Please provide a detailed overview of activities your organisation provides to its adult learners

EOI Dos Hermanas (in Seville) belongs to a net of state language schools and depends on the
Education Government in Andalucia. Our school was set up in 2008, and we teach English, French
and Italian, being the highest level B2 (Advanced), except for English (C1)
Our students are mainly adult students eager to speak fluently and to learn about different cultures.
Due to their varied cultural and professional background, each group generates a rich atmosphere
for learning. Apart from the academic field, we also like to promote the cultural knowledge of the
different countries where English, French and Italian are spoken, therefore we organise extra
curricular activities, such us cooking contests, quizzes and so on, where students, staff and
assistants cooperate.
Our courses range from A1 to B2 levels (C1 also for English) of the ECFR for Languages, five
academic years. Each course lasts 120 hours from mid September to mid June.
Our classrooms are equipped with ICT tools and we focus mainly in communicative skills.
Our lessons are usually from 16.00-21.00 and they are not part of any curriculum of compulsory
education. However, on Tuesdays and Thursdays some courses are offered in the morning. Our
students are highly motivated and willing to learn new customs and share their own culture, so they
are always happy to have a language assistant in their classes.
4. EXPERIENCE IN EUROPEAN COOPERATION ACTIVITIES
Does your organisation have experience in European cooperation activities and/or have you hosted an
assistant from abroad before?

X Yes

 No
If Yes please specify:

We have been hosting Grundtvig assistants since 2008. We have had Italian, Polish, French, Czech
and Irish assistants.
5. MOTIVATION TO HOST AN ASSISTANT
Please give your reasons on why you would like to host an assistant

As a language school we try to promote the cultural exchange with different countries, and we think
that having an assistant in every language we teach really enhances that cultural and linguistic
exchange. The experience is thus enriching for our students, for the staff and for the assistants
themselves.
Coming from a different education background, the assistant can also provide a different view on
the process of learning, together with very useful information about a different educational system
that makes the European dimension of the Erasmus+ program come true.
From our experience, assistants are also highly motivated to improve their knowledge of Spanish
language and culture and this motivation is a real example for our own students.
6. POSSIBLE TASKS FOR A GRUNDTVIG ASSISTANT
Please provide information on the areas of work the Assistant will be involved in and how.

7. OTHER COMMENTS/REMARKS

As a school, we are working on the different applications of new technologies and social media in
our classrooms. So feel welcome if you have some experience to share in this field.
A friendly and experienced young staff will introduce the assistant to our way of living and help
her/him feel comfortable in our school and the surrounding. Our students are really looking forward
to meeting and sharing new experiences with foreign people.
