Pike Fishing Ontario

Ontario Pike Fishing
Kesagami’s angling reputation has been built on its worldclass, trophy northern pike fishery – plain & simple.
Objectively, Kesagami’s records for trophy northern pike rival
those of any of the very-far-north lodges of Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, the Yukon or NorthWest Territories – both in
terms of numbers of trophy fish caught per season and size.
The important differences include the fact that Kesagami is
much closer to many metropolitan centres in Canada and the
U.S.A., enjoys a longer fishing season, and costs about half as
much as any comparable fishing package (if there are any).
With fish in excess of fifty (50) inches in the swim, and an inestimable number of 40inch / 20-pound fish available all season long, Kesagami pike fishing qualifies as world
class. With strict, reasoned conservation practices (catch & release) and policies in
place to protect the fishery, Kesagami pike fishing can only get better. That is hard to
imagine, since 1 in 3 anglers catches and releases at least one 20-pound / forty-inch
pike during their stay – even though many of them are fishing primarily for walleyes !

The Kesagami Experience
A visit to Kesagami is much more than just a fishing trip. The
natural beauty of the area, the unspoiled, pristine
environment, fresh air, unpolluted waters, abundant wildlife,
serenity, solitude and quality time with family and friends
make staying at Kesagami a memorable experience.
Kesagami sunsets are spectacular, as are the occasional
displays of the Northern Lights (Aurora borealis). A mistshrouded lake lends a special mood to the beginning of a day
filled with the promise of memorable outdoor experiences. A
visit to Kesagami is much more than just a fishing trip.

The lodge is welcoming beyond expectation – modern, clean, comfortable, warm. The
Kesagami staff are friendly, courteous and experienced folks who will promptly and
enthusiastically attend to your every need. The accommodations, recreational facilities
and meals are exceptional – at par with the finest inns anywhere.

World Class Sportfishing
The fishing at Kesagami is world class – the trophy
northern pike fishing is legendary, while the walleye
angling is among the best in Ontario. At Kesagami,
most guests catch the largest pike of their life. In fact,
Kesagami guests have repeatedly broken the Canadian
“Live Release” record for northern pike.
Walleye fishing, while sometimes overlooked in favour of the trophy pike fishery, is
no less than phenomenal. Anglers often report catches of 100 or more walleyes per
boat per day, and a few have caught and released 200 or more on exceptional
outings.
Ontario MNR studies confirm that Kesagami Lake is among the most productive
lakes in all of Canada. Outdoor writers and fishing TV hosts flock to Kesagami to film
some of the best fishing that Ontario and Canada have to offer.
Nowhere are the odds of hooking a trophy fish better. Numbers of trophy
specimens are caught and released every day at Kesagami, and a strong catch and
release program is in place to insure that great fishing will continue in the future.
