A. What is the problem your innovation addresses?
All the dwellings of domestic use produce waste waters. They generate by their
rejection in the environment a great source of pollution of the natural hydraulic
mediums and mainly of the water tables. Today, the systems of treatment of these
waste waters are either non-‐existent, or obsolete, or completely ineffective with a large
production of muddy residues. Part of these muds is poured in river, a part is spread out
of agricultural land, a part is incinerated, the whole of these operations having
enormous financial costs without for that solving the problems of pollution. Indeed
besides invading our environment these muds contain micro pollutant chemical.
B. Describe your specific innovation and the outcomes you expect. Who are your
customers/beneficiaries? How will your innovation significantly address the problem at
lower cost in a way that has not been feasible before? Note: Some might describe this as
the theory of change.
“Pit Biological " lyseconcept process treats, purifies, and recycles all waste waters
without transforming the organic matter into mud, only by biological micro process,
without filtration nor mechanism of retained unspecified with a purifyin performance of
90%. the Water of rejection at exit of the device with its biological characteristics is sent
on a vegetalized discharge system which supplements the work of purification of the
process by purifying the ground of pollution diffuses naturally present in waste waters:
urea, ammonia, nitrogene, cogitate, nitrate, mug up, Single phosphate etc in the world,
the purifying performance of the whole device is of more than 98%. Waste waters of
rejection contain fine organic matter particles in suspension, a bacterial flora of active
biodegradation and of biochemical components which makes it an element fertilizing
and enriching for the topsoil, a natural manure in industrial quantity.
C. What are the possible avenues (public, commercial, hybrid) for scaling up over the next
3-‐10 years, and what are your plans to achieve greater scale?
“Biological Pit " lyseconcept process affects all the sectors of the society. States'
administration can finally see a full and final solution to the cost for wastewater
treatment in it, individuals can benefit from an efficient system that allows them to
water their vegetable gardens, the environment can enjoy one of its primary sources of
pollution disappearing forever.
D. What are the characteristics and estimated number of direct and indirect beneficiaries?
Provide the most appropriate estimate of who the innovation will directly affect,
including income groups and other demographics. Please explain your calculations,
including relevant assumptions. DIV recognizes that precise estimates may be difficult,
especially for early-‐stage applicants, and is most interested in the underlying
assumptions to generate what you think represents a reasonable number.

E. Describe current solutions that exist in the geographic area where you will implement
your innovation and outline how your solution will be a better alternative.
To date the most widely used system around the world is the storage and filtration of
wastewaters. Without exception on all continents, this principle produces mud. The
sludge that results from the sanitation process, the result of the purification system
currently on the market, is a byproduct of living matter, become inert and non-‐
biodegradable, non-‐recyclable. the cost of implementation of individual sanitation is
reduced by 20%, the cost of sewerage is reduced by more than 35%
F. What activities will you execute under this grant and what results do you anticipate
achieving with DIV funds?
Implement worldwide bioremediation lyseconcept process, with a representative in
each country. The first implementation for each country is humanitarian, it is
implemented by lyseconcept for free. (see annex PROJECT)
G. Explain how you intend to assess the innovation, given the requirements for your stage
and scaling path as described in the APS (e.g.. how you will assess proof of concept,
commercial viability, causal impact and cost effectiveness, etc.)
To date the process is at the stage of development of THIRD generation thanks to a
hundred establishments on the French territory. A partnership is in place with a cement-‐
manufacturer who builds tanks made of concrete with a lifetime warranty, a
partnership has been set up with the local digger, and a partnership has been made with
national and international carriers for each delivery. “ Biological Pit " lyseconcept
process went from the simple prototype to the first, then second then third generation
all the way along its evolution. Arrived at the stage of the second generation a scientific
certification was worked out by an independent laboratory out of the traditional circuit.
It shows that there is a drop in the principal elements of pollution of waste waters,
between the entrance and the exit of the device. A big innovation on this subject:
scientific certification was issued at inhabitants' homes in general term of usual
operation of the habitat.
H. What are the relevant metrics you will use to judge the success of this grant and how
will you convey those regularly to DIV?
All beneficiaries of “Biological Pit " lyseconcept process will not reject any more any
pollution in natural water environments. They will see their vegetal biodiversity develop
all alone. Municipalities will see their budgets of cleansing being stabilized then
decrease and the production of residues muds reduce considerably. The totality of the
subsidy is assigned to the installation of the PROJECT. the carrier of PROJECT profits only
from the advantages which the PROJECT brings him.
Explain how this innovation can be sustained and scaled (operationally and financially)
while maintaining impact and cost effectiveness, and how you intend to support the
next step in the transition to scale?
Worldwide sanitation habitat system is implemented mandatory to evacuate
wastewater. This ranges from local small garden hacks at the back of a house to proper
toilets, but sometimes a simple maze drawn on the floor. All habitats are therefore
affected by this problem. Inviting people to establish a pilot site is not a constraint but
rather a promise of better days (not draining and watering the garden for a financial cost
still below what is being done)

There are many organizations all over the world whose wish is to bring a better hygiene
of life and much better conditions of habitat. They are maily NGOs, some research
departments of practical and ecological spirit, state administrations which seek the true
solution with these problems of cleansing

implement projects similar in magnitude, complexity, objectives and in contexts within
