Fire Emblem is a tactical role-playing video game franchise developed by
Nintendo’s Intelligent Systems division and published by Nintendo as a
first-party title, first appearing on the Famicom. The Fire Emblem series is
known for its innovation and for being one of the first Eastern style tactical
role-playing games, with a strong emphasis on Western forms of medieval
fantasy. The series is also renowned for having deeply developed characters, as
well as the fact that most units’ deathor defeat in battleis permanent in the
game until the end of the playthrough. The series currently spans fourteen
games, with one upcoming, and has been released on the Family Computer,
Super Famicom, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii and
Nintendo 3DS.

Administrativ

Chapter 2

Rendu
2.1

Generality

You must push all your sources.
If one of your chapter doesn’t work the corection will stop. ’Bonus : If’ will be
evaluated only if your grade is over 15.
Error’s message must be write on the error output.

2.2

Repository

The ’rendu’ must be done via git on the group leader account
You must apply a read acl for the rush account
The git repository name is BocalEmblem
Every chapter must have his own folder as he is named on the subjet.
Example : for chapter I ’I : The Sacred Stones’.

2.3

Makefile

Your Makefile must have clean, fclean, re and all rules, the default rule is all
and you must compile with -W -Wall -ansi -pedantic, you must compile all your
binary with the same Makefile. Your binaries must be in a ’binaries’ repository
on the root of your ’depot’.

2.4

Auteur file

There must be an ’auteurs’ file at the root of your rendu which contain the
name of all members each followed by an carriage return

Chapter 3

0 : The notion of stimpack
For this part you have to make a picture of ’Neptune’ the bocalien (www.bocal.org)
with his lovely stimpack. You will show his love for his stimpack on this picture.
Do it. Because if you don’t you will have a -5. And we will not correct your
next chapters. If you don’t know what is a stimpack. Go on google. Then push
your picture on your repository.

Chapter 4

I : The Sacred Stones (4
pts)
Description
The goal of this part is to describe the battlefield. You the binary strategic.
You will create a binary who will take in arguments many file.map. First you
will check every extension of each file, then you will describe every battlefield
as bellow.

The kb is 5 on 4.
The blue unit 12 is in 3/1.
The red unit 65 is in 4/3.
- -end- Values from 0 to 10 included are about map environment. 0 is for nothing
special. 1 is for the limit of the map.
Values from 11 to 40 included are for the blue camp’s units.
Values from 41 to 70 included are for the red camp’s units.
every values of unit is unique

You have to decribe the map from left to right and top to bottom. If any
error happen you must write ’An error occured’ and stop the analysis of the
map. If the map is not surrounded of 1 it is an error. If there is a number which
is not above it is an error. If there is not a space between every element of the
map it is an error.

Chapter 5

II : Path of Radiance (4
pts)
Description
The goal of this part is to move our units. You will call the binary playRadiance.
You will create a prompt and build some commands.
:>unit move to position.
unit has moved of 1 to position.
unit can be red or a blue unit. position can be bottom, top, right or left. For
now every units can only move of 1 square.
:>unit move to position.
This is not your turn.

:>unit move to position.
There is an error on your command.

The kb.map is 5 on 4.
The blue unit 12 is in 3/1.
The red unit 65 is in 4/3.

You will create an exit function. This function will quit the program properly.

For this part you can move every units. But you will move every blue units
before move the red units and then you will move every red units before move
the blue units again. If you don’t want to move the units of your side, you can
type pass for passing your turn.If unit or position is wrong or impossible (like
going in a 1) you must say ’There is an error on your command.’You don’t have
the right to modify the file of the map.

Chapter 6

III : Radiant Dawn (4 pts)
Description
The goal of this part is to attack with our units. You will call the binary Radiant.
You will add some commands. You have to keep the commands of the chapter II.
:>unitA attack unitB.
unitA has attacked of 5 unitB.unitB is 10 hp now. [The unitB is dead].
unit can be red or a blue unit. For now every units can only attack of 5.
Basic HP of every units is 30hp. When a unit is 0 she is dead, she can’t fight
anymore she is replace by a 0 on the map. If a blue/red unit attack a blue/red
unit you will display the following message ’Can’t attack a unit from the same
side sir.’A unit can attack an other unit only if she is next to her.A unit can
attack and move during the same turn. (But she can move and attack twice.

Chapter 7

IV : Awakening (8 pts)
Description
The goal of this part is to win against an AI. You will call it Awakening. You
will add some commands. You have to keep the commands of the chapter III.
The game is stop when there is only one type of unit on the battlefield. You
will display ’Side win this war.’ and you will return 1 if blue side won and 2 if
the red side won.
For this part you have to create an AI who will play the red side against the
player who will play the blue side. The better your AI, the more point you will
have.

Chapter 8

Bonus : If (14 pts)
Une section
This rush is fun before everything. If you make bonus this is cool but be carefull
to make your bonus in a different folder than your chapters. For bonus you have
save(2 pts), graphic(8 pts), multiple battle (2 pts), environnement (2 pts). Other
bonus will be judge if they derserve point or not.
