ANTICIPATION (Reading and Speaking)
Video “Anti-Bullying Ad” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWJut7KQhI4.
Watch this video.
What type of video is it? It’s an ad by www.bullying.org against bullying.
Where does the scene take place? Outside the school, in the street, in the schoolyard.
Describe the characters: there is one young boy with red hair, he’s short and he looks very shy. There is a gang
of 4 teenagers with a leader, the tallest boy, they look rebellious. There is a group of teenagers with a blond-hair
big boy.
What happened first? The gang is walking past the red-haired boy and the leader is putting on a red hat to
laugh at the boy while another one is slapping him on his head.
What happened next? The big blond boy has tyed his hair in red. When the gang is arriving with the red hat,
they stop immediately when they see the big boy with red hair. They are frightened.
Why did the big boy do that? To help the younger boy.
Imagine the feelings of the boy before and after: he is frightened, humiliated / he’s glad and relieved.
How does the publicist try to mobilize people? By saying “Take the stand” and “Take the pledge”.

during the night.

5. He blames himself for being clumsy, he feels guilty. He wants to be alone.
6. If his neighbor asks him why he cries, he will refuse to tell anything. Yet it’s a kind of cry for help.
