Neuropsychological Educational Evaluations
As a school neuropsychologist, Dr. Lucas is trained to understand the
brain, how it works, and how it affects behavior and learning. So, when
we evaluate a child who is struggling in school or at home, our focus is to
understand how that child's brain is working and how it's affecting his or
her learning and development.
"School Neuropsychology requires the integration of neuropsychological and educational
principles to the assessment and intervention processes with infants, children and adolescents
to facilitate learning and behavior within the school and family system. School
Neuropsychologists also play an important role in curriculum development, classroom design
and the integration of differentiated instruction that is based on brain-behavior principles in
order to provide an optimal learning environment for every child" (Miller, 2004).
