TRIANGLE SHAWL WITH RUFFLES
written pattern with chart

FINISHED SIZE
39 x17.5 inches
MATERIALS
Yarn is Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Worsted (400 yards/8 oz;
100% Merino) shown in the color Washington Circle.
US 9/5.5 mm circular needles, 4 stitch markers and tapestry needle.
As the work grew I added more stitch markers to keep track of the
stitch count.
GAUGE
7 stitches/9 rows
Gauge was not important. The sheen and firmness of the yarn was
more important. I wanted some spring in the yarn return. The surface sheen and color were the attraction to the yarn. I wanted the
ruffle to be firm so it could standup but not be hard.

East Ave E (EAVEE) is an
easy triangle shaped shawl
with ruffles. The shawl is
works up fast with worsted
weight yarn but adjustable
to any weight yarn with
light drape. This is a top
down shawl that has three
sections where it expands in
size quickly. The inspiration
for this pattern came from
some cool people who live
in North Dakota who have
been great support to me. I
hope you enjoy.

CHART

NOTE
My stitch count remained equal on both sides of the work until the last expand section. If your work is uneven
just knit or purl the stitch as you come to them.
BIND-OFF
Bind off using crochet bind off or basic knit bind off with an equivalent size needle.
BLOCKING
Pin the cast on edge flat. Then pin the pattern body to show details as desired. For the loose flowing ruffles, look
for the natural flow. Then pinch ruffles into place about every inch.
