The International Conference on Smart Learning Environments (ICSLE 2016) aims to bring
together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss issues related to the
optimization of learning environments to enhance learning. The focus is on the interplay of
pedagogy, technology and their fusion towards the advancement of smart learning
Topics of Interest:
The scope of the ICSLE 2016 is focused on issues related to smart learning environments.
Topics of interest considered to be within the scope of the conference include but are not
limited to:

Architectures for smart learning environments
Best practices in smart learning environments implementation
Conceptual frameworks for smart learning environments
Cultural issues in smart learning environments
Designing smart learning environments using sensing technologies
Evaluation approaches for effectiveness and efficiency of smart learning environments
Fusion of pedagogy and technology in smart learning environments
Historical perspectives of smart learning environments
Innovative uses of emerging didactical and pedagogical approaches
Innovative uses of emerging and existing technologies
Methodologies for development of smart learning environments
Mobility in smart learning environments

Conference Outcomes:

Proceedings in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Educational Technology series.
Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for Springer’s Smart Learning
Environments journal (Open access journal)

Authors of cutting-edge research will also be invited to highlight their innovations
under “Inspiring Stories” section of the International Association of Smart Learning
Environments website.
