Introduction
Verily all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, we seek His Help, we ask Him for guidance and we ask Him
for forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our bad deeds.
Whoever Allah guides then none can misguide him, and whoever Allah misguides then none can guide
him. I bear witness that there is no divinity except Allah alone Who has no partner, and I bear witness
that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam.
And after that:

‫ﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﱠ‬
ُ ْ‫ َﺳﻣِﻌ‬:‫ﻋن أﻣﯾر اﻟﻣؤﻣﻧﯾن أﺑﻲ ﺣﻔص ﻋﻣر ﺑن اﻟﺧطﺎب رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮫ ﻗﺎل‬
‫ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َو َﺳﻠﱠ َم‬
َ ‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ت َرﺳُو َل ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ َﻓ َﻣنْ َﻛﺎ َﻧ‬،‫ئ ﻣﺎ َﻧ َوى‬
‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ إِ ﱠﻧ َﻣﺎ اﻷَﻋْ َﻣﺎ ُل ﺑﺎﻟ ﱢﻧﯾﱠﺎ‬:‫َﯾﻘُو ُل‬
ِ ‫ﷲ َو َرﺳُوﻟِ ِﮫ َﻓ ِﮭﺟْ َر ُﺗ ُﮫ إِﻟﻰ‬
ِ ‫ت ھِﺟْ َر ُﺗ ُﮫ إِﻟَﻰ‬
ٍ ‫اﻣْر‬
ِ ‫ت وإِ ﱠﻧ َﻣﺎ ﻟِ ُﻛ ﱢل‬
ْ ‫ َو َﻣنْ َﻛﺎ َﻧ‬،ِ‫َو َرﺳُوﻟِﮫ‬

َ ‫ت ھِﺟْ َر ُﺗ ُﮫ ﻟِ ُد ْﻧ َﯾﺎ ﯾُﺻِ ﯾ ُﺑ َﮭﺎ أَو اﻣْ َرأَ ٍة َﯾ ْﻧ ِﻛ ُﺣ َﮭﺎ َﻓ ِﮭﺟْ َر ُﺗ ُﮫ إِﻟَﻰ َﻣﺎ َھ‬
Amir Al-Mu'minin(Leader of the Believers), Abu Hafs 'Umar ibnul-Khattab(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu), said: I
heard the Messenger of Allah salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam saying: Actions are according to intentions, and
everyone will get what he had intended(to do). Whoever migrates with an intention for Allah and His
Messenger, his migration will be for the sake of Allah and His Messenger. And whoever migrates for worldly
gain or to marry a woman, then his migration will be for the sake of whatever he migrated for. Reported by
AL-Bukhari and Muslim

By this little work that I ask almighty Allah to make it purely for His sake, I try to expose and explain the
creed(Aqeedah) of Tawheed which is the basis and the fundament of Islam, as a result of many years of
searching and delving about it in its original source exclusively, and following the method of “Ahlus-Sunnah
Wal-Jama’ah”. This is how we are fulfilling our duty towards almighty Allah, so if I am right it is only by the
will and guidance of Allah, and if I am wrong it is certainly because of me and the Devil, I ask Allah to accept
this little work from me and to make it purely for His sake, and to make it useful to anyone seeking the truth.

When we opened our eyes we found ourselves with people who pretend to be Muslims and that they
follow the Qur’an and Sunnah, but we have seen that they are divided to so many communities, parties,
beliefs, movements, sects...etc, and each one of them pretends to be on the right path of Allah.
But when we started searching in Allah’s book, we have seen clearly, that most of them, do not have any
relationship with it, except repeating the simple words, without even knowing their meaning, and they keep
doing otherwise of what it orders, this is among the common people. And they have a great number of what
they call “Scholars” who are employed by their rulers, and who validate for people the kufr they do.
These “Scholars” are calling people to the worship and submission to their Master and employer who is a
“Taghut”, who imposes his own laws to people, and makes the religion tailor made for himself, then his
employed scholars validate that and call people to obey and submit. And they provide also all sorts of false
arguments and ambiguities to validate the policy of their masters and the Kufr in which are their people.
And they refuse to judge Kafir even who insults almighty Allah and His Messenger(salla Allahu 'alayhe wa
sallam). And even more, since they judge Muslim even the worshippers of graves and dead, which is in an
obvious contradiction with the elementary principles of Islam. Then after all that they pretend that they are
following the scholars of the “Salaf”, and proudly recite that that ancient scholar said so and the other said
so …etc. so it becomes very confusing to whoever seeks the truth, but almighty Allah said:

‫(طﮫ‬123)‫اي َﻓ َﻼ ﯾَﺿِ ﱡل َو َﻻ َﯾ ْﺷ َﻘﻰ‬
َ َ‫ َﻓ َﻣ ِن ا ﱠﺗ َﺑ َﻊ ھُد‬.......
.......whoever follows My Guidance, shall neither go astray, nor miserable(123) Taha

And Allah’s words were detailed and well explained by Rassul Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) since it
was his mission:

‫ْك ﱢ‬
َ َ‫َوأ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺣل‬44)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ﺎس َﻣﺎ ُﻧ ﱢز َل إِﻟَﯾ ِْﮭ ْم َوﻟَ َﻌﻠﱠ ُﮭ ْم َﯾ َﺗ َﻔ ﱠﻛر‬
َ ‫ﻧز ْﻟ َﻧﺎ إِﻟَﯾ‬
ِ ‫اﻟذ ْﻛ َر ﻟِ ُﺗ َﺑﯾ َﱢن ﻟِﻠ ﱠﻧ‬
And We sent down to you the Dhikr(Qur’an) that you may clarify to the people what was sent down to them
and that they might give thought(44)An-Nahl

And almighty Allah made it an obligation to follow him in everything:

‫(اﻷﻋراف‬158)‫ون‬
َ ‫ َوا ﱠﺗ ِﺑﻌُوهُ ﻟَ َﻌﻠﱠ ُﻛ ْم َﺗ ْﮭ َﺗ ُد‬..........

and follow him closely that possibly you would be guided(158)Al-A’raf

‫ﷲ َو ْاﻟ َﯾ ْو َم ْاﻵﺧ َِر َو َذ َﻛ َر ﱠ‬
‫( اﻷﺣزاب‬21)‫ﷲَ َﻛ ِﺛﯾرً ا‬
َ ‫ﷲ أُﺳْ َوةٌ َﺣ َﺳ َﻧ ٌﺔ ﻟﱢ َﻣن َﻛ‬
ِ ‫ُول ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻟﱠ َﻘ ْد َﻛ‬
ِ ‫ﺎن ﻟَ ُﻛ ْم ﻓِﻲ َرﺳ‬
َ ‫ﺎن َﯾرْ ﺟُو ﱠ‬
Indeed you have got in the Messenger of Allah a good example(to follow) for him who hopes (the Meeting
with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much(21) Al-Ahzab

‫ﷲ إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﺣﺷر‬07)‫ب‬
ِ ‫ﷲَ َﺷدِﯾ ُد ْاﻟ ِﻌ َﻘﺎ‬
َ
َ ‫و َﻣﺎ آ َﺗﺎ ُﻛ ُم اﻟرﱠ ﺳُو ُل َﻓ ُﺧ ُذوهُ َو َﻣﺎ َﻧ َﮭﺎ ُﻛ ْم َﻋ ْﻧ ُﮫ َﻓﺎ ْﻧ َﺗﮭُوا َوا ﱠﺗﻘُوا ﱠ‬................
……….And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and
fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment(07) Al-Hashar

And Rassul Allah ordered firmly to keep his Sunnah and avoid any Bid’ah(innovation):

‫ﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َو َﺳﻠﱠ َم َﻣ ْوﻋِ َظ ًﺔ‬
َ ِ‫ َو َﻋ َظﻧﺎ َرﺳُو ُل ﷲ‬:‫ﻋن أﺑﻲ ﻧﺟﯾﺢ اﻟﻌرﺑﺎض ﺑن ﺳﺎرﯾﺔ رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ ﻋﻧﮫ ﻗﺎل‬
ْ ‫ َو َذ َر َﻓ‬، ُ‫ت ِﻣ ْﻧﮭﺎ اﻟﻘُﻠوب‬
ْ َ‫َو ِﺟﻠ‬
‫ أُوﺻِ ﯾ ُﻛ ْم ِﺑ َﺗ ْﻘ َوى‬:‫ ﻗﺎ َل‬.‫ َﻛﺄ ﱠﻧﮭﺎ َﻣ ْوﻋِ َظ ُﺔ ﻣُو ﱢد ٍع َﻓﺄ َ ْوﺻِ ﻧﺎ‬،‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ ﯾﺎ رﺳو َل‬:‫ َﻓﻘُ ْﻠﻧﺎ‬, ُ‫ت ِﻣ ْﻧﮭﺎ اﻟ ُﻌﯾُون‬
‫ َواﻟﺳﱠﻣْﻊ َو ﱠ‬،‫ﷲ َﻋ ﱠز َو َﺟلﱠ‬
ْ ‫ َﻓﺈِ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ َﻣنْ َﯾﻌِشْ ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ َﺳ َﯾ َرى‬، ‫ َوإِنْ َﺗﺄَﻣ َﱠر َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم َﻋ ْﺑ ٌد َﺣﺑَﺷِ ﻲﱞ‬،ِ‫ﺎﻋﺔ‬
‫ َﻓ َﻌﻠَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم‬,‫اﺧ ِﺗﻼَ ًﻓﺎ َﻛ ِﺛﯾرً ا‬

‫ُور؛ َﻓﺈِنﱠ ُﻛ ﱠل‬
ِ ‫ َوإِﯾﱠﺎ ُﻛ ْم َوﻣُﺣْ دَ ﺛﺎ‬،ِ‫ َو َﻋﺿﱡوا َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ َﮭﺎ ِﺑﺎﻟ ﱠﻧ َوا ِﺟذ‬,‫ َﺗ َﻣ ﱠﺳ ُﻛوا ِﺑ َﮭﺎ‬,‫ﱢﯾن‬
َ ‫ِﯾن اﻟ َﻣ ْﮭ ِدﯾ‬
َ ‫ِﺑ ُﺳ ﱠﻧﺗِﻲ َو ُﺳ ﱠﻧ ِﺔ اﻟ ُﺧﻠَ َﻔﺎ ِء اﻟرﱠ اﺷِ د‬
ِ ‫ت اﻷﻣ‬
‫ رواه أﺑو داود واﻟﺗرﻣذي‬.‫ﺿﻼَﻟَ ٌﺔ‬
َ ‫ َو ُﻛ ﱠل ِﺑ ْد َﻋ ٍﺔ‬,‫ﻣُﺣْ دَ َﺛ ٍﺔ ِﺑ ْد َﻋ ٌﺔ‬
Abu Najeeh Al-Irbad Ibnu- Saariyah(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe
wa Sallam) delivered an admonition that made our hearts fearful and our eyes tearful. We said, "O
Messenger of Allah, it is as if this were a farewell sermon, so advise us. He said: I enjoin you to have Taqwa
(piety) of Allah and that you listen and obey, even if an Ethiopian slave is made a ruler over you. who lives
long enough among you will see many differences. So observe my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightlyprincipled and rightly-guided successors, holding on to them with your molar teeth. and Beware of newlyintroduced matters, every newly introduced matter is an innovation(Bid’ah), and every innovation(Bid'ah) is
a straying. Reported by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi

And the greatest scholar of Islam Imam Ahmad Ibnu-Hanbal(Rahimahu Allah) had advised the seeker of
knowledge by: Do not imitate me, nor imitate Malik, nor Ash-Shafi’I, nor Al-Awza’I, nor Ath-Thawri, and take
from where they took.

And Imam At-Tabarani reported in his book “Al-Mu’jam Al-Kabeer” that Ibnu Abbas(Radhiya Allahu
‘anhuma) said: There is nobody that his sayings are not taken or left, except the Propeht Salla Allahu ‘alayhe
wa sallam. (Athar Marfu’)

So there is no doubt, to find the truth the only solution is to take the knowledge from its original source and
avoid all the innovations, deviations, and drifts of people, just like the first Muslim generation have done,
That blessed generation who was unique in the human history.
So according to that we can define our methodology in this work, by the help of Allah:

Methodology
In this section I expose the criteria on which this search is based, and which are inspired from the way of
learning of the Sahaba(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhum) and the method of Ahlu sunnah wal-Jama’ah:

-a)

The Way of Learning of the first Muslim generation

The spring from which the Companions of the Prophet(salla Allahu 'alayhe wa sallam) drank was the Holy
Qur'an, only the Qur'an, as the hadith of the Prophet(salla Allahu 'alayhe wa sallam) and his teachings were
offspring of this fountainhead. When someone asked the Mother of the Believers, Aisha(Radhiya Allahu
‘anha), about the character of the Prophet(salla Allahu 'alayhe wa sallam), she answered: His character was
the Qur'an. The Holy Qur'an was the only source from which they quenched their thirst, and this was the
only mould in which they formed their lives.
An example of this purpose is found in the displeasure expressed by the Messenger of Allah (salla Allahu
'alayhe wa sallam) when Umar(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu), brought some pages from the Torah. Rassul Allah
(Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said: By God, if even Mussa(Moses) had been alive among you today, he
would have no recourse except to follow me. [Narrated by Jabir ibnu Abdullah(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhuma) and
Reported by imam Ahmad]

It is clear from this incident that Rassul Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) deliberately limited the first
generation of Muslims, when they was undergoing the initial stages of training, to only one source of
guidance, and that was the Book of Allah.
His intention was that this group should dedicate itself purely to the Book of Allah and arrange its lives solely
according to its teachings. That is why Rassul Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) was upset when Umar(
Radhiy- Allahu ‘anhu) turned to a source different from the Qur'an. He intended to prepare a generation
pure in heart, pure in mind, pure in understanding. Their training was to be based on the method prescribed
by almighty Allah who saved the Holy Qur'an, purified from the influence of all other sources.
This generation, then, drank solely from this spring and thus attained a unique distinction in history. In later
times it happened that other sources mingled with it. Other sources used by later generations included
Greek philosophy and logic, ancient Persian legends and their ideas, Jewish scriptures and traditions,
Christian theology, and, in addition to these, fragments of other religions and civilizations. These mingled
with the commentaries of the holy Qur'an and with scholastic theology, as they were mingled with
jurisprudence and its principles. Later generations after this generation obtained their knowledge from this
mixed source, and hence the like of this (first)generation never arose again.
Another point in the specificity of that blessed generation, is that they did not approach the Qur'an for the
purpose of acquiring culture and information, nor for the purpose of taste or enjoyment. None of them
came to the Qur'an to increase his knowledge for the sake of knowledge itself or to solve some scientific or
legal problems, or to remove some defect in his understanding. Rather, he turned to the Qur'an to find out
what the Almighty Creator had prescribed for him and for the group in which he lived, for his life and for the
life of the group. He approached it to act on what he heard immediately, as a soldier on the battlefield reads
'Today's Bulletin that he may know what is to be done. He did not read many verses of the Qur'an in one
session, as he understood that this would lay an unbearable burden of duties and responsibilities on his
shoulders. At most he would read ten verses, memorize them, and then act upon them. We know this from
a tradition reported by Abdullah Ibnu- Mas’ud(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) .
This understanding, the understanding that instruction is for action, opened the doors to spiritual fulfilment
and to knowledge. If they had read the Qur'an only for the sake of discussion, learning and information,
these doors would not have opened. Moreover, action became easy, the weight of responsibilities became
light, and the Qur'an became a part of their personalities, mingling with their lives and characters so that
they became living examples of faith, a faith not hidden in intellects or books, but expressing itself in a
dynamic movement, which changed conditions and events and the course of life. (Milestones, Sayyid Qutb)

This way of learning was detailed with more precision in the Method of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jama’ah in
inference.

-b) The Method of Ahlu sunnah wal- Jama’ah in Inference

The Method of Ahlu Sunnah Wal-Jama’ah in inference and searching in the matters of creed(Aqeedah) and
Shari’ah can be detailed as:

-1) The source upon which the creed is based is restricted solely to the Book of Allah (Qur'an) and the
authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam).
-2) They respect the bases of argumentation(inference), and they do not badly mix between the legal proofs,
but they refer the unclear(Mutashabih) to the clear(Muh’kam) and the global to the detailed, and gather
between the texts of threatening and those of good tidings, and between those of negation and those of
affirmation, and between the absolute and the specific, and they adopt the abrogation in texts and rules.
-3) They adopt the interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an, the Qur’an by the Sunnah and the inverse
(also), and they use the meanings of Arabic language and its phonetics, cause it is the language of Qur’an
and Sunnah and they reject all what is strange to it.
-4) They adopt the interpretation of the Sahaba(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhum) ,their understanding of the texts,
their sayings their doings and what was known from them, because they were the companions of Rassul
Allah (salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), and they lived in the time when the revelation was sent down, and
they have the best knowledge about Arabic language and the goals of the Shari’ah, and because they are the
best of the Muslim community, and their religion is the surely valid, since almighty Allah had satisfied of
them.
-5) If they learn something about the religion they work with it, and what is unclear or unknown like the
unseen(Ghayb) or what is related to fate(Qadar) they believe in it like almighty Allah said, and do not look
after it.
-6)They do not use the innovative(Bid’ah) terms and expressions in the belief(Aqeedah), and they keep using
only the legal terms and expressions.
-7) They reject the (pretended)opposition of the healthy(righteous) mind and instinct to the texts of Shari’ah
or between the reality and the Shari’ah, or between the fate and Shari’ah, or between the (thinking)mind
and the texts, but they relate it to the inability of people’s minds to understand it.
-8) They care and verify about the narrators of the texts, and they delve about them to be sure about their
credibility, to preserve the religion.

-c) Notes
- we clarify that when we talk about “Salaf” we mean by that only the “First Three Centuries” no more,
because Rassul Allah (salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) had validated their religion.
Then, by the will of almighty Allah, we seek for His guidance in His book and the authentic sayings of His
Messenger (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), and when we find something in them we firmly hold to it, in an
absolute way and a total submission without discussing, just like almighty Allah ordered in his book:

‫ﷲَ َو َرﺳُوﻟَ ُﮫ‬
ِ ‫ون ﻟَ ُﮭ ُم ْاﻟ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َو َرﺳُوﻟُ ُﮫ أَﻣْ رً ا أَنْ َﯾ ُﻛ‬
َ ‫ِن َو َﻻ ﻣ ُْؤ ِﻣ َﻧ ٍﺔ إِ َذا َﻗ‬
َ ‫َو َﻣﺎ َﻛ‬
ِ ْ‫ﻣْر ِھ ْم َو َﻣنْ َﯾﻌ‬
ٍ ‫ﺎن ﻟِﻣ ُْؤﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﺧ َﯾ َرةُ ﻣِنْ أ‬
‫(اﻷﺣزاب‬36)‫ﺿ َﻼ ًﻻ ﻣ ُِﺑﯾ ًﻧﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺿ ﱠل‬
َ ‫َﻓ َﻘ ْد‬
And it behoves not to a believing man and a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided
a matter; to have the choice in their matter, and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he had surely
strayed a manifest straying(36) Al-Ah’zab

And surely if other people say or do the opposite we do not care about them, and it doesn’t deviate us from
the path of Allah, taking a good example in the “Imam Ahmad”(may Allah’s mercy be upon him) who faced
alone against the Tyrants of his time only by his certainty in the truth, and saved Allah’s religion from their
falsifying. So our belief is built on the strict(literally) following of the texts of Qur’an and Authentic Sunnah.
Also that as it is known in the interpretation of the Qur’anic texts: that the “authentic and explicit” text
cannot be abrogated or restricted; unless by another “authentic and explicit” text, revealed after it and that
expresses the abrogation or the restriction. And that if the text has a general(absolute) meaning, it cannot
be restricted unless by an evident proof, and if it has a restricted(specific) meaning it cannot be generalized
unless by an evident proof.
We note also that in the Law of Allah Shari’ah, the “Hukm” status of something(to be Halal or Haram, to be
Kufr or Shirk) follows always the cause (’illat), and the status is confirmed if its cause exists, we can see that
in the Hadeeth of Rassul Allah Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam:

‫ رواه أﺣﻣ ٌد‬.‫ب أَﺳْ َﻛ َر َﻓﮭ َُو َﺣ َرام‬
ٍ ‫ ُﻛ ﱡل َﺷ َرا‬:‫ﻋن اﻟﺳﯾدة ﻋﺎءﺷﺔ رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮭﺎ أن اﻟﻧﺑﻲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ و ﺳﻠم ﻗﺎل‬
Sayyida Aisha(Radhiya Allahu ‘anha) narrated that the Prophet( Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said: Every
drink that causes drunkness is haram. Reported by Ahmed

We see from this Hadeeth that every drink that causes drunkenness is forbidden(Haram), it is Haram
(forbiden)because it causes drunkness. So everytime when the cause(drunkenness) is detected the status
(forbiddance) is confirmed. And so in the Shari’ah of Allah, every status is confirmed if its cause is found.
It is the same concerning the matters of Aqeedah(creed), if there is a sign of Shirk or Kufr detected in any
matter that matter or action is judged as “Shirk” or “Kufr” authomatically.
We talk about this here to show that we do not talk in the religion of Allah arbitrarily from our minds, but
just according to the rules and and measures of the Shari’ah of almighty Allah.

The Religion for Allah is Islam
Anyone who reads the holly Qur’an will find that almighty Allah ordered to follow the “Religion of Ibrahim”
(alayhe salam) who named his nation “Al-Muslimin” which means the “Submitted”(to Allah) :

ً ‫َو َﻗﺎﻟُوا ُﻛو ُﻧوا ھ‬
‫(اﻟﺑﻘرة‬135) ‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺎن ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬
َ ‫ﺎرى َﺗ ْﮭ َﺗ ُدوا ﻗُ ْل َﺑ ْل ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َو َﻣﺎ َﻛ‬
َ ‫ﺻ‬
َ ‫ُودا أَ ْو َﻧ‬
And they say: Be Jews or Christians; then you will be rightly guided. Say (no) but (we follow)the religion of Ibrahim;
Monotheist, and he was not of the polytheists(135)Al-Baqara

‫ﺻدَ َق ﱠ‬
‫( آل ﻋﻣران‬95)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺎن ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َﻓﺎ ﱠﺗ ِﺑﻌُوا ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َو َﻣﺎ َﻛ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل‬
Say: Allah has spoken the truth, therefore follow the religion of Ibrahim; Monotheist, and he was not one of
the polytheists(95) Ali-Imran

‫َو َﻣنْ أَﺣْ َﺳنُ دِﯾ ًﻧﺎ ِﻣﻣﱠنْ أَﺳْ ﻠَ َم َوﺟْ َﮭ ُﮫ ِ ﱠ ِ َوھ َُو ﻣُﺣْ ﺳِ نٌ َوا ﱠﺗ َﺑ َﻊ ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َوا ﱠﺗ َﺧ َذ ﱠ‬
ً ‫ﷲ ُ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺧﻠ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬125)‫ِﯾﻼ‬
And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face(himself) to Allah; and he is a Muhsin(a
good-doer). And followed the religion of Ibrahim(Abraham) Monotheist, And Allah did take Ibrahim as (a
Khalil) an intimate friend(125) An-Nissa

َ ‫ﺎن ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل إِ ﱠﻧﻧِﻲ َھدَ اﻧِﻲ َرﺑﱢﻲ إِﻟَﻰ ﺻِ َراطٍ ﻣُﺳْ َﺗﻘ ٍِﯾم دِﯾ ًﻧﺎ ِﻗ َﯾﻣًﺎ ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َو َﻣﺎ َﻛ‬
Say: Truly, my Lord has guided me to a Straight Path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim(Abraham)
Monotheist, and he was not one of the polytheists(161) Ali-Imran

‫( اﻟﻧﺣل‬123)‫ﺎن ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛِﯾن‬
َ ‫ك أَ ِن ا ﱠﺗ ِﺑﻊْ ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َو َﻣﺎ َﻛ‬
َ ‫ُﺛ ﱠم أَ ْو َﺣ ْﯾ َﻧﺎ إِﻟَ ْﯾ‬
Then, We have revealed to you: “Follow the religion of Ibrahim(Abraham) Monotheist and he was not one of
the polytheists(123) An-Nahl

‫( ﯾوﺳف‬108)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﷲ َو َﻣﺎ أَ َﻧﺎ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬
ِ ‫ﺎن ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﯾر ٍة أَ َﻧﺎ َو َﻣ ِن ا ﱠﺗ َﺑ َﻌﻧِﻲ َو ُﺳﺑ َْﺣ‬
َ ِ‫ﷲ َﻋﻠَﻰ ﺑَﺻ‬
ِ ‫ﻗُ ْل َھ ِذ ِه َﺳ ِﺑﯾﻠِﻲ أَ ْدﻋُو إِﻟَﻰ ﱠ‬
Say: This is my Way; I call to Allah with sure knowledge; I and whoever follows me. Glory be to Allah; and I
am not one of the polytheists(108) Yusuf

‫( ﯾوﻧس‬105) ‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﯾن َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َو َﻻ َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬
َ ‫َوأَنْ أَ ِﻗ ْم َوﺟْ َﮭ‬
ِ ‫ك ﻟِﻠ ﱢد‬
And direct your face entirely towards the religion(of Allah)as a Monotheist, and never be of the polytheists
(105)Yunus

That shows that almighty Allah had selected the religion of Ibrahim(alayhe salam) for His slaves, the religion
in which the worship is devoted only to Him, and purified from any polytheism. That religion is “Islam”

‫( آل ﻋﻣران‬19)‫ﷲ اﻹﺳﻼم‬
ِ ‫ﯾن ﻋِ ْﻧ َد ﱠ‬
َ ‫…إِنﱠ اﻟ ﱢد‬..
……….Truly, the religion for Allah is Islam… (19)Ali Imran

‫َو َﻣنْ أَﺣْ َﺳنُ دِﯾ ًﻧﺎ ِﻣﻣﱠنْ أَﺳْ ﻠَ َم َوﺟْ َﮭ ُﮫ ِ ﱠ ِ َوھ َُو ﻣُﺣْ ﺳِ نٌ َوا ﱠﺗ َﺑ َﻊ ِﻣﻠﱠ َﺔ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺣﻧِﯾ ًﻔﺎ َوا ﱠﺗ َﺧ َذ ﱠ‬
ً ‫ﷲ ُ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َﺧﻠ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬125)‫ِﯾﻼ‬
And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face(himself) to Allah and he is a Muhsin(a
good-doer ), And followed the religion of Ibrahim(Abraham) Monotheist, and Allah did take Ibrahim as an
intimate friend(khalil) (125) An-Nissa

‫( آل ﻋﻣران‬85)‫ﯾن‬
َ ‫َو َﻣنْ َﯾ ْﺑ َﺗ ِﻎ َﻏﯾ َْر اﻹﺳﻼم دِﯾ ًﻧﺎ َﻓﻠَنْ ُﯾ ْﻘ َﺑ َل ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﮫ َوھ َُو ﻓِﻲ ْاﻵﺧ َِر ِة ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ َﺧﺎﺳِ ِر‬
And whoever follows a religion other than Islam it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he
will be of the loses(85) Ali-Imran

The Meaning of Islam
The religion of Allah is “Islam” and His slaves(servants) who embrace it are the Muslims. Islam is a religion
that has not the Name of the Messenger who brought it or the people who embrace it, like the Christianity
of the Christ, the Judaism of Jude, the Buddhism of Buddha, Zoroastrian of Zardusht or else. Islam is a status
or a characteristic of a person, it is an attribute that is a attributed to a person who has that characteristic.
And it aims to attribute that characteristic to the most possible number of humans. Since it is not a religion
that is specific to a Man or an ethnicity but it is to all the humanity and to the Jinn also.
So anyone who may have this characteristic from the oldest times, nowadays or in the future is a Muslim
So what is this characteristic or quality?

Linguistic Meaning
In the book of “Lissanu Al-‘Arab” of “Ibnu Manzur” it is said: Islam is the surrendering and docility. We say
somebody is “Musltaslim”(Muslim) which means he surrenders to Allah’s commands with docility.
So the word “Islam” comes from the word “Aslama” or “Istaslama” wich means he gived up and
surrendered to Allah. Not from the word “silm” which means “peace” as the priests of Taghut and many
unbelievers promote.

Legal Meaning
In the book of “Ma’na Al-Islam Wal-Iman” (The Meaning of Islam and Iman ) of “Al-‘izz Ibnu Abdus-Salam”
it is said: Islam is the submission and docility to the two testimonies.
So Islam is: the complete submission, surrender, servitude and subjugation to Allah alone without any
partner. All that according only to what He revealed to His Messenger(Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam)

Then, the one who worshipped Allah alone and according to what He had revealed to His Messenger( salla
Allahu ‘ alayhi wa sallam), his religion is true and his deeds are accepted. And the one whose religion is
mixed with polytheism and altered by innovations, his deeds are rejected and his religion is invalid and
refused(by Allah).

َ ‫ِﯾن ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﻟَﺋِنْ أَ ْﺷ َر ْﻛ‬
‫( اﻟزﻣر‬65) ‫ﯾن‬
َ ‫ت ﻟَ َﯾﺣْ َﺑ َطنﱠ َﻋ َﻣﻠُ َك َوﻟَ َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ َﺧﺎﺳِ ِر‬
َ ‫ْك َوإِﻟَﻰ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫َوﻟَ َﻘ ْد أُوﺣ َِﻲ إِﻟَﯾ‬
And certainly, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: Surely if you associate(to Allah); your
work would certainly come to naught, and you would certainly be of the losers(65) Az-Zumar

‫ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ ْاﻟ َﺟ ﱠﻧ َﺔ َو َﻣﺄْ َواهُ اﻟ ﱠﻧﺎ ُر َو َﻣﺎ ﻟ ﱠ‬
‫…………إ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ْد َﺣرﱠ َم ﱠ‬..
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬72)‫ﺎر‬
َ ‫ِﯾن ﻣِنْ أَ ْﻧ‬
َ ‫ِﻠظﺎﻟِﻣ‬
ٍ ‫ﺻ‬
…..Verily, whoever associates(partners) with Allah then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire
will be his abode. And for the unfair(polytheists) there are no helpers(72) Al-Maidah

And islam has been built of Five(05):

‫ﻣْس‬
ٍ ‫اﻹﺳْ ﻼَ ُم َﻋﻠَﻰ َﺧ‬
ِ ‫ ُﺑﻧ َِﻲ‬:‫ ﺳﻣﻌت رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ و ﺳﻠم ﯾﻘول‬:‫ﻋن اﺑن ﻋﻣر رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮭﻣﺎ ﻗﺎل‬
‫َﺷ َﮭﺎدَ ِة أَنْ ﻻَ إِﻟَ َﮫ إِﻻﱠ ﱠ‬
‫ َوإِﯾ َﺗﺎ ِء ﱠ‬،ِ‫ﺻﻼَة‬
‫ رواه‬.‫ﺎن‬
‫ َوإِ َﻗ ِﺎم اﻟ ﱠ‬،‫ﷲ‬
َ ‫ﺿ‬
َ ‫ﺻ ْو ِم َر َﻣ‬
َ ‫ َو‬،‫ َو ْاﻟ َﺣﺞﱢ‬،ِ‫اﻟز َﻛﺎة‬
ِ ‫ﷲُ َوأَنﱠ ﻣ َُﺣﻣﱠداً َرﺳُو ُل ﱠ‬
‫اﻟﺑﺧﺎري و ﻣﺳﻠم‬
Ibnu Umar(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhuma) said: I’ve heard Rassul Allah Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam saying: Islam
has been built on Five(05): the testifying that ”there is no god Except Allah” and that “Muhammad is the
Messenger of Allah”, performing Salat(Prayer), giving Zakat, the Haj(Pilgrimage) and fasting Ramadhan.
Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim

Like any building Islam has a “Basis”(Fundament) which is the two testimonies of “La Ilaha Illah Allah” and
“Muhammad Rassul Allah”(Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) and Four(04) Pillars(corners) which are:
performing Salat(Prayer), giving Zakat, the Haj(Pilgrimage) and fasting Ramadhan.

The fundament (Basis) of Islam(aslud-din), which distinguishes believers from unbelievers, is the belief in
the oneness of Allah "La Ilaha Illa Allah"(Tawheed) and in the message, "Muhammad Rassul Allah” (salla
Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) And the meaning of "La Ilaha Illa Allah," is that no one should be worshipped other

than Allah alone with no partners, and that was the message by which almighty Allah had sent all the
Prophets and all the Messengers:

‫( اﻷﻧﺑﯾﺎء‬25)‫ون‬
ٍ ‫َو َﻣﺎ أَرْ َﺳ ْﻠ َﻧﺎ ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﻣِنْ َرﺳ‬
ِ ‫ُول إِﻻ ُﻧوﺣِﻲ إِﻟَ ْﯾ ِﮫ أَ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ ﻻ إِﻟَ َﮫ إِﻻ أَ َﻧﺎ َﻓﺎﻋْ ُﺑ ُد‬
And We did not send any Messenger before you unless we reveal to him that there is no God except me, so
worship Me(Alone)(25) Al-Anbiya

And the Word of Tawheed by which almighty Allah had sent all the Messengers and Prophets is the reason
for which: the universe and all creatures were created, Balances of Justice are set up, records of deeds are
registered, the Day of Judgment is appointed, creatures are divided into believers and disbelievers, pious
and evil-doers, the religion of Islam is established and swords are unsheathed for Jihad:

ُ ‫َو َﻣﺎ َﺧﻠَ ْﻘ‬
‫(اﻟذارﯾﺎت‬56)‫ون‬
َ ‫ﺟنﱠ َو ْاﻹِ ْﻧ‬
ِ ‫ت ْاﻟ‬
ِ ‫س إِ ﱠﻻ ﻟِ َﯾﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
And I have not created the jinn and mankind except(only) to worship Me(56) Az-Zariyat

Tawheed is Allah's right over all His creatures. Therefore the reason for sending Messengers, was not just to
call people to pronounce the letters of "La Ilaha Illa Allah". Because it makes no sense, and does not change
anything of the evil, but the reason was to call people to worship Allah alone, and abandoning the worship
of any other than Him:

ُ
‫ﷲ َواﺟْ َﺗﻧِﺑُوا ﱠ‬
‫وت َﻓ ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﮭ ْم َﻣنْ َھدَى ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﷲ ُ َو ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﮭ ْم َﻣنْ َﺣ ﱠﻘ‬
َ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏ‬
‫ت َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ اﻟﺿﱠﻼﻟَ ُﺔ‬
َ ‫وﻟَ َﻘ ْد َﺑ َﻌ ْﺛ َﻧﺎ ﻓِﻲ ُﻛ ﱢل أ ﱠﻣ ٍﺔ َرﺳُوﻻ أَ ِن اُﻋْ ُﺑ ُدوا ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ض َﻓﺎ ْﻧ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺣل‬36)‫ﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺎن َﻋﺎ ِﻗ َﺑ ُﺔ ْاﻟ ُﻣ َﻛ ﱢذ ِﺑ‬
َ ‫ْف َﻛ‬
َ ‫ظرُ وا َﻛﯾ‬
ِ ْ‫َﻓﺳِ ﯾرُ وا ﻓِﻲ اﻷر‬
And verily, We have sent among every community(nation) a Messenger(calling them): “Worship Allah
(Alone), and avoid(shun, keep away from) the Taghut .........(36) An-Nahl

This is the meaning of "La Ilaha Illa Allah", and it can be realized only by both belief(heart), words and deeds.
The significance of the testimony of "La Ilaha Illa Allah" to which we believe and that we owe to Allah is: the
denial of the divinity of any other than Allah, and its affirmation to Allah alone.

And the divinity is the worship, and the meaning of the word “God” is the one who is worshipped and
obeyed, this explanation is consented by all the scholars. Therefore who worships something he took it as a
God, and all Gods and all what is worshiped are vain, except only for one God who is “Allah” almighty.
So "La Ilaha Illa Allah" means: nothing has the right to be worshiped except almighty Allah, and all what is
worshiped besides Allah its worship is vain.
And worship is everything by which Allah ordered His servants(slaves) to direct towards Him, to get closer to
Him, were they apparent deeds, or deeds of heart.
And the sorts of worship are varied like: invocation, prostration(Sujud), turning around the Ka’ba(Tawaf),
fasting(Siyyam), supplication(Tawassul), invocating help or protection, alms(Sadaqa), the love of Allah,
fearing Him, the hope, Loyalty and Disavowal for Allah (Al-Wala Wal- Bara), forbidding what Allah forbids
and allowing what He allows, to rule(and judge) by His book and the sunnah of His Messenger(Salla Allahu
‘alayhe wa sallam) in everything and on everybody, and to keep them as the only reference in all kinds of
disputes, and also all what was ordered by almighty Allah and His Messenger(Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam).
And of course, we believe that the oneness of Allah (Tawheed) is not valid just by the verbal pronunciation
of "La Ilaha Illa Allah" but it must be achieved by accumulating the speech with belief and action, and who
neglects one of them cannot validate his religion, and can’t realize the Tawheed that can protect his blood
and his property in this down life, and that can lead him to paradise and prevent him from the punishment
of Allah the Day of Judgment.
So the one who uttered these words having the knowledge about their meaning, with a sharp conviction,
and reflecting in his acts the principle of ” the negation of polytheism(shirk)” and the “affirmation of
monotheism(Tawheed)”; this is the true Muslim. But the one that presents only the deeds without belief
that is the Hypocrite(Munafiq), and the one who contradicts it by doing shirk is a polytheistic disbeliever
even if he says it by his mouth.
So, the testimony of "La Ilaha Illa Allah" necessarily requires to admit it by knowledge, words and deeds not
as think many ignorant that it is enough to pronounce it, or only to admit the existence of Allah and that He
is the only one that owns everything in the universe without partner, all-this was admitted and recognized
by the first polytheists who worshiped idols, in addition to the people of the book(Jews and Nazarethans),
and if that was the case they would have no need to be called to believe it, and the Messengers would not
have been denied.
And by His grace and mercy, Allah almighty and Exalted; guided us to know and understand the meaning of
this great word upon which stands the entire building of the religion, and facilitated to us to hold to it, and
put it into practice. So we have believed in Allah alone and we devoted to Him the pure worship, and we
denied and disbelieved in everything that is worshiped besides Him, and we disavowed polytheism and its
followers.

As we have said previously, the “Basis of Islam”(Aslud-din) is the belief in the oneness of Allah “La Ilaha Illa
Allah” and the belief in the message “Muhammad Rassul Allah” (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), so we are
going to divide this work in two chapters according to that insha-Allah:

Chapter one:

LA ILAHA ILLA ALLAH

The testimony of “La ilaha ill-Allah” is composed of two parts: “La Ilaha” which is the part of negation and
which means “there is no(true) God” and “Illa Allah” which is the part of affirmation and which means
“except Allah”.
And according to the division of this testimony in Qur’an, the negation is expressed by “Al-Kufr Bit-Taghut”
and the affirmation is expressed by “AI-Iman Bi Allah” as almighty Allah said in Qur’an :

‫ﯾن َﻗ ْد َﺗ َﺑﯾ َﱠن اﻟرﱡ ْﺷ ُد ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ َﻐﻲﱢ َﻓ َﻣنْ َﯾ ْﻛﻔُرْ ِﺑ ﱠ‬
‫ت َوﯾ ُْؤﻣِنْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ِد اﺳْ َﺗﻣْ َﺳ َك ِﺑ ْﺎﻟﻌُرْ َو ِة ْاﻟوُ ْﺛ َﻘﻰ َﻻ‬
ِ ‫ﺎﻟطﺎ ُﻏو‬
ِ ‫َﻻ إِ ْﻛ َرا َه ﻓِﻲ اﻟ ﱢد‬
‫ِﺻﺎ َم ﻟَ َﮭﺎ َو ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬256)‫ﷲ ُ َﺳ ِﻣﯾﻊٌ َﻋﻠِﯾ ٌم‬
َ ‫ا ْﻧﻔ‬
There is no compulsion in the religion, right-mindedness has already been evidently(distinct) from
misguidance, So whoever disbelieves in the Taghut and believes in Allah; then he has grasped the most
trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower (256) Al-Baqarah

And so, we divided this chapter to two parts: the “Disbelief in Taghut’ and the “Belief in Allah”, and we will
detail each one of them by the same way that almighty Allah detailed the “ Aqeedah of Tawheed” in Surat
“Al-An’am”(also called Surat At-Tawheed) Allah’s oneness in Lordship, Godship(mastery, judgement, rituals),
Names and Attributes, to make it as easy as possible to understand insha-Allah.

Section One:

Disbelief in Taghut (Al-Kufr Bi Taghut)

In this section we talk about the part of negation in the testimony of Tawheed “La ilaha” which means that
“there is no(true) God” except almighty Allah, and negates any kind of “Shirk” or association or partnership
of anything with Allah in anything concerning Him like His essence, His qualities, His acts, His names and
attributes or anything else.
Because associating to Allah is the worst possible crime to be committed, worse than Murder, rape, child
molesting and genocide. These appalling crimes which occur in our world today, Many would think that
these are the worst possible offences that could be committed. But the crime that outweighs all of these
crimes put together: is the crime of Shirk(polytheism):

ُ ‫ َﺳﺄ َ ْﻟ‬:‫ﻋن ﻋﺑد ﷲ اﺑن ﻣﺳﻌود رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮫ ﻗﺎل‬
ْ‫ أَن‬:‫ َﻗﺎ َل‬.‫ب أَﻋْ َظ ُم؟‬
ِ ‫ أَيﱡ اَ ﱠﻟذ ْﻧ‬:‫ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠم‬
ِ ‫ت َرﺳُو َل َ ﱠ‬
‫ رواه اﻟﺑﺧﺎري و ﻣﺳﻠم‬....‫ َوھ َُو َﺧﻠَ َﻘ َك‬,‫َﺗﺟْ َﻌ َل ِ ﱠ ِ ﻧ ًِّدا‬
Abdullah Ibnu-Mas’ud(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa
sallam: What is the greatest sin?. He said: That you set up a rival to Allah though He (is who) created you
…….Reported by Al- Bukhari and Muslim

And almighty Allah had clearly said that He does not forgive doing it, and He does not accept any excuse to
do it, not even the killing, and He warned who do it from the eternal burning in Hell:

‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬48)‫ون َذﻟ َِك ﻟِ َﻣنْ َﯾ َﺷﺎ ُء َو َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ِد ا ْﻓ َﺗ َرى إِ ْﺛﻣًﺎ ﻋَظِ ﯾﻣًﺎ‬

َ ‫ﷲ َﻻ َﯾ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُر أَنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ َر‬

Surely, Allah does not forgive associating(partners) with Him, and He forgives( what is) less than that to
whom He wills. And whoever associates(partners) with Allah has indeed invented a tremendous sin(48) AnNissa

‫إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
ً ‫ﺿ َﻼ ًﻻ َﺑﻌ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬116)‫ِﯾدا‬
َ ‫ﺿ ﱠل‬
َ ‫ون َذﻟ َِك ﻟِ َﻣنْ َﯾ َﺷﺎ ُء َو َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ْد‬
َ ‫ك ِﺑ ِﮫ َو َﯾ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُر َﻣﺎ ُد‬
َ ‫ﷲَ َﻻ َﯾ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُر أَنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ َر‬
Surely, Allah does not forgive associating(partners) with Him, and He forgives (what is)less than that to
whom He wills, and whoever associates(partners) with Allah has indeed strayed far astray(faraway)(116)

‫…………إ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ْد َﺣرﱠ َم ﱠ‬..
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬72 )‫ﺎر‬
َ ‫ِﯾن ﻣِنْ أَ ْﻧ‬
َ ‫ِﻠظﺎﻟِﻣ‬
ٍ ‫ﺻ‬
…..Verily, whoever associates(partners) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire
will be his abode. And for the unfair(polytheists) there are no supporters(72) Al-Maidah

And anything that is worshiped besides Allah, or given a status of lordship or Divinity(God) or given any
name, attribute or Characteristic that is reserved only to almighty Allah, it is called a “Taghut”

Definition of Taghut
The word ” Taghut” is derived from “Tugh’yan”, The literal meaning of this word is “crossing the borders” or
“to exceed and overpass the limit”.
Imam Malik(may Allah have mercy of him) defined Taghut as: Anything or anyone worshipped apart from
almighty Allah. (Tafseer Al-Qorubi)
Imam At-Tabari said in his ”Tafseer”: The right saying for me concerning the (meaning of the) Taghut: it is
anyone (or anything)who(that)agresses the rights of Allah. And is worshiped besides Him, by forcing his
worshiper(to worship him), or by the obedience from his worshiper to him, whatever was that worshiped a
human being, a devil, an idol, a statue or anything else.
According to that we can say that the Taghut is: anyone who exceeds his limits by pretending for himself, or
others pretend for him with his consent, any of the rights of almighty Allah and makes himself a partner with
Allah by any possible way.
This is a general definition, which includes a lot of things that are worshipped such as idols, graves, stones,
trees and other such inanimate objects. It includes also Satan(the biggest Taghut), witches, soothsayers
(claiming knowledge of the unseen), those who are pleased with people directing acts of worship to them,
and those who legislate(allowing what Allah forbids and forbidding what Allah allows). Judges(who judges
by other than Allah’s law), the public figures(stars, politicians, sportsmen, artists.. ) that people love for
themselves and they accept and reject people according to their love to that person or not ( the fans). All
these are Tawaghit(plural of Taghut) that every Muslim must disbelieve in them and disavow those who
worship and follow them.

Note:
I keep using the Arabic term “Taghut” because in reality it has no real equivalent in other languages.
Especially that the priests of the "Taghuts” and sellers of “Fatwas” like those employed by the “Taghut” in
Arabia, had translated it intentionally, in a way as to completely change its meaning. Since they translated

"Taghut" by "Rebel", but the rebel is the one who revolts against “Tyranny”, while the term “Taghut“ means
especially the “Tyrant”. The enemies of Allah had translated the term “Taghut” by its opposite, may almighty
Allah curse them in this down life and in the day of judgment, Amine.
And the disbelief in Taghut is by: sharply believing in it’s falsehood and the falsehood of it’s worship and by
completely denying it, and also by its disavow, its hating, enmity(hostility) and refusing to obey and submit
to it, and the disavow of its followers, hating them and staying aside from them(avoiding), and to keep
himself in severance with them. And we disbelieve in Taghut as the following:

-1) The disbelief in Taghut in Lordship (Ar-Ruboobiyyah)

Almighty Allah said:

ْ َ‫ﺎك ﻓِﻲ أ ُ ﱠﻣ ٍﺔ َﻗ ْد َﺧﻠ‬
‫ون ِﺑﺎﻟرﱠ ﺣْ َﻣ ِن ﻗُ ْل ھ َُو َرﺑﱢﻲ َﻻ‬
َ ُ‫ك َو ُھ ْم َﯾ ْﻛﻔُر‬
َ ‫ت ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠِ َﮭﺎ أ ُ َﻣ ٌم ﻟِ َﺗ ْﺗﻠ ُ َو َﻋﻠَﯾ ِْﮭ ُم اﻟﱠذِي أَ ْو َﺣ ْﯾ َﻧﺎ إِﻟَ ْﯾ‬
َ ‫َﻛ َذﻟ َِك أَرْ َﺳ ْﻠ َﻧ‬
ُ ‫إِﻟَ َﮫ إِ ﱠﻻ ھ َُو َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َﺗ َو ﱠﻛ ْﻠ‬
‫( اﻟرﻋد‬30)‫ب‬
ِ ‫ت َوإِﻟَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َﻣ َﺗﺎ‬
And thus We have sent you among a nation before which other nations have passed away, that you might
recite to them what We have revealed to you, and they still disbelieving in the most gracious(Ar-Rahman).
Say: He is my Lord; there is no god except Him, on Him I rely and to Him is my return(30 ) Ar-Ra’d

‫از َرةٌ ِو ْز َر أ ُ ْﺧ َرى ُﺛ ﱠم إِﻟَﻰ َر ﱢﺑ ُﻛ ْم‬
ِ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﻏﯾ َْر ﱠ‬
ٍ ‫ﷲ أَ ْﺑﻐِﻲ َر ًّﺑﺎ َوھ َُو َربﱡ ُﻛ ﱢل َﺷﻲْ ٍء َو َﻻ َﺗ ْﻛﺳِ بُ ُﻛ ﱡل َﻧ ْﻔ‬
ِ ‫س إِ ﱠﻻ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ َﮭﺎ َو َﻻ َﺗ ِز ُر َو‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬164)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫َﻣرْ ِﺟ ُﻌ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ ُﯾ َﻧ ﱢﺑ ُﺋ ُﻛ ْم ِﺑ َﻣﺎ ُﻛ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم ﻓِﯾ ِﮫ َﺗ ْﺧ َﺗ ِﻠﻔ‬
Say: Shall I seek other than Allah as a lord, while He is the Lord of all things?, No person earns any(sin)
except against himself(only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord
is your return, so He will inform about that over which you used to differ(164) Al-An’am

Tawheed Ar-Ruboobiyyah(Lordship) means to believe that Allah is the only “Rabb” (the Creator, Provider,
sustainer....) He has no partner in His Dominion and Actions; and manages everything in the universe alone.
Allah alone has the power to benefit or harm, the power to change destiny, and He is the only one who is
truly Self-Sufficient(As-Samad) upon whom all the creation depends, and that no one can overpass the laws
of “cause and effect” (He imposed to all the creation) except Him or only by His allowance.

“Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyyah” also includes the belief that Allah is Unique(One, single) and Incomparable; He
has no wife nor offspring, no mother nor father, nor anything is part of Allah neither living nor dead. Allah
does not merge in any living or dead creature, and nothing neither living nor dead merges in the Being of
Allah. All creatures are created by His order and are subservient to His will.
There are many examples of this shirk, like the Shia idolaters who think that their Imams are involved in the
managing of the universe, those believing that something will bring them luck or bad luck, or believing in
fortune tellers and horoscope. Many people believe that an amulet can bring them luck or protect them
from harm, or that a black cat can bring them bad luck, this is Shirk because none of the created things can
do any of these things, because the only One Who has that power is Allah. The same with horoscope it is
published everywhere in every newspaper, magazine, site of news or else, people read the horoscopes and
believe that what it says will happen to them.
So we disbelieve in everything, or anyone who claims, or others claim for him with his consent, the lordship
or any of its features, such as the creation of the universe, or giving subsistence, or to give life or death
(without physical intervention), or to raise the dead, or to know the distant and hidden, or one who claims
knowing what is in the hearts of people, or can make the fate closer or bring luck as claim the seers
sorcerers, and we judge unbelievers those who believe in anything of all that or similar to it, or have doubts
about it and those who do not judge them unbelievers(kafirs).

-2) The disbelief in Taghut in Godship (Al-Uluhiyyah)

“Tawheed Al-Uluhiyah” is to single out Allah (in worship) through the slave's actions, which they perform in
order to get closer to Allah in the manner prescribed by the Sharia, like supplication, vow, sacrifice, hope,
fear, reliance, love, reverence, turning in repentance, judging by His law, love and hatred for his sake…, This
category of Tawheed was the main subject of the Dawah of all Prophets, from the first to the last of them.
Ibnu-Abbas(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhuma) said:
Allah is the only one possessing divinity and the right to be worshiped by the entire creation. Reported by
At-Tabari and Ibnu Abi Hatim

Definition of Worship (Ibaadah)
Worship(Ibaadah) was defined by Imam At-Tabari by: The submission to Allah by obedience and compliance
to Him in lowliness.

Al-Baghawi said: worship is: Obedience(taa'ah) coupled with humbling of oneself(Tathallul), and
submissiveness(khudoo'), and the slave('abd) is called as such due to his lowliness(Thillah) and his
compliance(Inqiyaad). (Sharh us-Sunnah 1/53)
So worship is a voluntary and docile act of submission and obedience, reflecting an absolute love.
And worship in Islam is not limited to the cult rituals, but extends to all areas of human life, and according
to Qur’an it is generally divided to Three (03) elements: Al-Wala’(Mastery), Al-Huk (judgment, rule,
sovereignty) and An-Nussuk(Rituals)
So, we disbelieve in any Taghut(anyone or anything) that people takes as a divinity besides Allah, and
towards which they direct any kind of worship as the following:

-a) Disbelief in Taghut in Mastery (Wala)

Almighty Allah said:

ً ‫ﷲ أَ ْﻧ‬
‫ِﯾن َظﻠَﻣُوا إِ ْذ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا أَ َﺷ ﱡد ُﺣ ًّﺑﺎ ِ ﱠ ِ َوﻟَ ْو َﯾ َرى اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ﷲ َواﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫دَادا ُﯾ ِﺣﺑﱡو َﻧ ُﮭ ْم َﻛﺣُبﱢ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﺎس َﻣنْ َﯾ ﱠﺗﺧ ُِذ ﻣِنْ ُد‬
ِ ‫َوﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬165)‫ب‬
ِ ‫ﷲ َﺷدِﯾ ُد ْاﻟ َﻌ َذا‬
َ ‫َﯾ َر ْو َن ْاﻟ َﻌ َذ‬
َ ‫اب أَنﱠ ْاﻟﻘُ ﱠو َة ِ ﱠ ِ َﺟ ِﻣﯾﻌً ﺎ َوأَنﱠ ﱠ‬
And of mankind are some who take others besides Allah as rivals(equals to Allah). They love them as they
should love Allah. But those who believe, are stronger in their love to Allah (than anything else). and If only,
the unfair(polytheists) could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allah and that
Allah is Severe in punishment(165) Al-Baqarah

‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا ﯾ ُْﺧرﺟُ ُﮭ ْم ﻣ َِن ﱡ‬
‫ِﯾن َﻛ َﻔرُ وا أَ ْوﻟِ َﯾﺎؤُ ُھ ُم ﱠ‬
‫ﱠ‬
ُ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏ‬
‫ور إِﻟَﻰ‬
ِ ‫اﻟظﻠُ َﻣﺎ‬
َ ‫ور َواﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َوﻟِﻲﱡ اﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫وت ﯾ ُْﺧ ِر ُﺟو َﻧ ُﮭ ْم ﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱡﻧ‬
ِ ‫ت إِﻟَﻰ اﻟ ﱡﻧ‬
ِ
َ َ ‫ت أُوﻟَ ِﺋ‬
‫ﱡ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬257)‫ون‬
ِ ‫اﻟظﻠُ َﻣﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺎر ُھ ْم ﻓِﯾ َﮭﺎ َﺧﺎﻟِ ُد‬
ِ ‫ك أﺻْ َﺣﺎبُ اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
Allah is the Master(Protector, supporter) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light.
And those who disbelieve, their masters(supporters, helpers) are the Taghut(false deities, leaders…) they
bring them out from light into darkness. Those are the dwellers of the Fire, and they will abide therein
forever(257) Al-Baqarah

ُ ْ‫ض َوھ َُو ﯾ ُْط ِﻌ ُم َو َﻻ ﯾ ُْط َﻌ ُم ﻗُ ْل إِ ﱢﻧﻲ أُﻣِر‬
‫ون أَ ﱠو َل َﻣنْ أَﺳْ ﻠَ َم َو َﻻ‬
ِ ‫ﷲ أَ ﱠﺗﺧ ُِذ َوﻟِ ًّﯾﺎ َﻓﺎطِ ِر اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َﺎوا‬
َ ‫ت أَنْ أَ ُﻛ‬
ِ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﻏﯾ َْر ﱠ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َو ْاﻷَر‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬14)‫َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛِﯾن‬
Say: Shall I take other than Allah as a master, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And He feeds but is
not fed. Say: Verily, I was ordered to be the first of those who submit themselves(to Allah). And do not be of
the polytheists(14) Al-An’am

‫( اﻟﺷورى‬09)‫أَ ِم ا ﱠﺗ َﺧ ُذوا ﻣِنْ ُدو ِﻧ ِﮫ أَ ْوﻟِ َﯾﺎ َء َﻓﺎ ﱠ ُ ھ َُو ْاﻟ َوﻟِﻲﱡ َوھ َُو ﯾُﺣْ ِﯾﻲ ْاﻟ َﻣ ْو َﺗﻰ َوھ َُو َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛ ﱢل َﺷﻲْ ٍء َﻗدِﯾ ٌر‬
Or have they taken masters(supporters, helpers, protectors...) besides Him?. But Allah, He is the Master
(Protector, etc.). And it is Him Who gives life to the dead, and He is able to do all things(09) Ash-Shura

This form of worship is misunderstood nowadays, so it requires to be given a special intention, especially for
non-Arabs, the issue is mostly a problem of translation, as the term "waliy" in Arabic is usually translated in
English by the term "Ally", which is partly right, but in reality it means the ”Master” who is in the same time
the ally, the protector, the followed, the beloved one and cherished for himself.
So almighty Allah is the only “Master“ but it is about a master that we love and to whom we submit
voluntarily, because worship is the highest level of love, and it results in a voluntary following and
submission to the beloved one, and the Shirk(association to Allah) here is a Shirk in “Love” as Allah said :

‫ﺣ ﱡﺑو َﻧ ُﮭ ْم َﻛ ُﺣ ﱢب ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﷲ أَ ْﻧدَادًا ُﯾ‬
ِ ‫ﺎس ﻣَنْ َﯾ ﱠﺗ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬165)........... ِ‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ُون ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﺧ ُذ ﻣِنْ د‬
ِ ‫َوﻣِنَ اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
And of mankind are some who take others besides Allah as rivals(equals to Allah). They love them as they
should love Allah……….(165) Al-Baqarah

So loving anyone for himself and following him and submitting to him voluntarily is rising him to the status
of divinity, and setting him up as a master and a God besides almighty Allah.
So this form of Shirk is based on the love of other than Allah for himself, since the worship is only the
“absolute” form of love, and since it is Allah who offered everything to humans He is the only one who
merits their love and worship.
When people love each other, it is generally because of interest, passion or by blood links, but they can’t do
much for each other neither in this down life nor in the hereafter. But almighty Allah gives and bestows
everything to humans, and His favours to them are uncountable, and He is the only one Who has the keys of
their happiness in this world, and those of their eternal salvation in the afterlife, so He is the only one Who
merits the love for His essence.

Therefore, love is a worship that should be devoted to Allah alone, and any action based on love should be
directed only towards Him, aside of course from the natural love like the one carried to parents, spouse and
children. But even that one should not be favourished to the love of Allah as He said:

ُ‫ﺎرةٌ َﺗ ْﺧ َﺷ ْو َن َﻛ َﺳﺎدَ َھﺎ َو َﻣ َﺳﺎﻛِن‬
َ ‫ﯾر ُﺗ ُﻛ ْم َوأَﻣ َْوا ٌل ا ْﻗ َﺗ َر ْﻓ ُﺗﻣُو َھﺎ َوﺗ َِﺟ‬
َ ِ‫ﺎن آ َﺑﺎؤُ ُﻛ ْم َوأَ ْﺑ َﻧﺎؤُ ُﻛ ْم َوإِ ْﺧ َوا ُﻧ ُﻛ ْم َوأَ ْز َواﺟُ ُﻛ ْم َوﻋَﺷ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل إِنْ َﻛ‬
‫ﷲ ُ ِﺑﺄَﻣْ ِر ِه َو ﱠ‬
‫ﷲ َو َرﺳُوﻟِ ِﮫ َو ِﺟ َﮭﺎ ٍد ﻓِﻲ َﺳ ِﺑﯾﻠِ ِﮫ َﻓ َﺗ َر ﱠﺑﺻُوا َﺣ ﱠﺗﻰ َﯾﺄْﺗ َِﻲ ﱠ‬
‫ﷲ ُ َﻻ َﯾ ْﮭدِي ْاﻟ َﻘ ْو َم‬
ِ ‫ﺿ ْو َﻧ َﮭﺎ أَ َﺣبﱠ إِﻟَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم ﻣ َِن ﱠ‬
َ ْ‫َﺗر‬
‫( اﻟﺗوﺑﺔ‬24)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ْاﻟ َﻔﺎﺳِ ﻘ‬
Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your clan, a wealth which you have committed
(obtained), a commerce that you fear the decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more
beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His
command. And Allah does not guide the immoral people(24) At-Tawbah

This love imposes the voluntary following and to be in the availability of the beloved, and to love those who
love him and hate those who hate him, then the beloved becomes the master of the one who loves him,
with his own will and consent.

‫ رواه‬.ِ‫ِض ﻓِﻲ ﷲ‬
َ ‫ َو ُﺗ ْﺑﻐ‬،ِ‫ِب ﻓِﻲ ﷲ‬
‫ أَنْ ُﺗﺣ ﱠ‬:‫ﺎن‬
ِ ‫ إِنﱠ أَ ْو َﺛقَ ُﻋ َرى ْاﻹِﯾ َﻣ‬:‫ أن رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠم ﻗﺎل‬,‫ﻋن اﻟﺑراء ﺑن ﻋﺎزب رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮫ‬
‫أﺣﻣد‬
Al-Baraa ibnu ‘Aazib(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa
sallam) said: The strongest handhold of Iman(faith) that you love for Allah, and you hate for Allah. Reported
by Imam Ahmad

This kind of worship is widespread nowadays, cause people love some people for their essence, and follow
and submit to them voluntarily and take them as a reference for accepting and rejecting people, they accept
who love their idol and they reject who don’t. We can see this in peoples love to the sport teams and
clubs(fans and supporters), sportsmen and sportswomen, politicians, judges and lawyers, public figures,
priests, writers, actors, singers they follow them in their views, in their beliefs, in their style, in their way of
living, and some of them even kill themselves when their idol dies, and they gather in many kinds of groups
based on the love of other than Allah like parties, leagues, associations, brotherhoods, organizations, fan
clubs…etc.
But the most important and most clear is that kind of love, respect, following and submission that humans
direct towards the Rulers, to whom they give some rights which are exclusively reserved to almighty Allah
like making laws for humans. They submit voluntarily to their laws, and they obey to them whatever they
command to them, they even fight and die for them, in an absolute loyalty(wala) devotion and fidelity,

which is a pure worship to other than Allah, and these Rulers are the most important kind of “Taghut”
known nowadays.
And the disbelief in the Mastery of other than Allah is by denying and hating the Taghuts(rulers or else) and
their followers, rejecting them and their followers, and avoiding them and their followers. And to never do
anything that may express any kind of love, acceptance or respect to them, because that means we love or
accept or respect another Master besides Allah, which is a greater shirk(polytheism) which cancels Islam and
who do it will abide eternally in hell.
And according to that we disbelieve in the Mastery of the Taghut(rulers or else) and judge Kafir(unbeliever)
who do the following:
-Accepting the Taghut and entering voluntarily below his mastery by working in his service(public sector) in
any kind of work from the cleaner of the street to the doctor of the hospital. Because who works for the
Taghut he accepts and tolerates him, and does not deny his aggression against Allah’s rights. while Almighty
Allah ordered to disbelieve in him(it) and to deny his aggression and his claim to divinity. More than that
working for him is to be a tool that he uses to put his mastery in practice, by providing services to his
followers and worshipers. And also working for the Taghut passes through accepting his laws when signing
the contract of work, and also by judging by his law in case of any dispute, which is another kind of Shirk.
-The issue of its documents(since he recognizes his followers by the documents he gives to them), to issue
its document is to enter voluntarily in the community of its worshipers and followers(its Citizens), and there
is no doubt that who enters voluntarily in its community does not deny or disbelieve in it, but accepts it
certainly. Which is in contradiction with the disbelief in Taghut that almighty Allah ordered. And also the
issue passes certainly by accepting its laws, which is also a greater Shirk.
-Sending the kids to his(public) school, because the kids are the most beloved thing that anyone may have,
and certainly he will not send them to the school of Taghut if he really denies it and disbelieve in it. Nobody
will send his kids to his enemy, or to someone he does not trust. So who sends his kids to be under the
protection and care of the Taghut loves him certainly, or at list he trusts him and respects him and accepts
him and accepts his Mastery. And he is certainly on the religion of the Taghut since he sends his kids to the
school of the Taghut to learn the “worship of the Taghut” through the submission to his law and system, and
to glorify him and to stand in respect to his flag and to his emblem, and to sing his anthem which is swearing
loyalty to him.
I don’t think that anybody can’t see that all that is a clear worship of the Taghut, and taking him(it) as a God
besides Allah.
-and also anyone who do something that is expressing love, respect or acceptance of the Taghut, like
carrying or rising his flag or emblem and standing in respect to it or singing his anthem, and hardworking to
execute his orders without being forced or fearing harm(it can be only because of love or acceptance at list).
The “Taghut” is pretending to be a divinity, and whoever respects him(it) or accepts him or loves him, or do
anything expressing that, he certainly recognizes, approves,and accepts him as a divinity besides Allah.

To note that in case if someone is forced or fears the harm for himself, he may “use” the documents of
Taghut (if he has got them since before Islam, or use false) because in this case he is not accepting or
respecting the Taghut(voluntarily) so there is no love(and so no Shirk of love) and no adherence, naturally
only if there is no acceptance of his laws by doing that. But not the issue, cause the issue is impossible
without accepting the laws of Taghut. But if there is no acceptance it is possible in case of being forced or by
fear(Taqiyyah). The same thing for working in his service(if there is no acceptance of his law) in case if being
a prisoner or a slave like it was the case with Yussuf(alayhe salam) and Sayyiduna Salman Al-Farissi who
couldn’t participate in “Ghazwat Badr” and also in “Ghazwat Uhud” because he was in slavery for a Jew.
So it is to understand that: any sayings or actions that reflects respect, acceptance, submission, voluntary
following or love to what people take as a Master other than Allah is a greater Shirk. And who do it is
certainly an unbeliever(Kafir) and the same for who do not judge him Kafir.

-b) Disbelief in Taghut in the Rule (Hukm)

Since it is almighty Allah who created the humans, it is certainly Him the only one who knows what is good
or bad for them, and the only one who may know the right way by which they should act, so it is only Him
who has the right to impose laws to them to keep them in the right way, just like the manufacturer of a
device, it is only him who is able to write its “Manual of use” and only him who knows the best way to use it
and its benefits and defaults.
And this is the case for all the creatures in the universe, who are commanded only by the law of Allah and
have no choice to accept it or refuse it, but almighty Allah gave to humans and jinn the right of choice to
accept and follow His laws or not, to test them.
Almighty Allah said:

‫ون أَنْ َﯾ َﺗ َﺣﺎ َﻛﻣُوا إِﻟَﻰ ﱠ‬
‫ت َو َﻗ ْد‬
ِ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏو‬
َ ‫ْك َو َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد‬
َ ‫ُون أَ ﱠﻧ ُﮭ ْم آ َﻣ ُﻧوا ِﺑ َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل إِﻟَﯾ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َﯾ ْز ُﻋﻣ‬
َ ‫أَﻟَ ْم َﺗ َر إِﻟَﻰ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫أُﻣِرُ وا أَنْ َﯾ ْﻛﻔُرُ وا ِﺑ ِﮫ َوﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد اﻟ ﱠﺷﯾ‬
ً ‫ﺿ َﻼ ًﻻ َﺑﻌ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬60)‫ِﯾدا‬
َ ‫ْطﺎنُ أَنْ ﯾُﺿِ ﻠﱠ ُﮭ ْم‬
Have you not seen those(hyprocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you,
and that which was sent down before you, they want to(go) ask the judgement(in their disputes) to the
Taghut while they have been ordered to disbelieve in it. But Shaitan(Satan) wants to lead them far
astray(60) An-Nissa

َ ُ‫ﻗُ ْل إِ ﱢﻧﻲ َﻋﻠَﻰ َﺑ ﱢﯾ َﻧ ٍﺔ ﻣِنْ َرﺑﱢﻲ َو َﻛ ﱠذ ْﺑ ُﺗ ْم ِﺑ ِﮫ َﻣﺎ ﻋِ ْﻧدِي َﻣﺎ َﺗﺳْ َﺗﻌْ ِﺟﻠ‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬57)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ْاﻟ َﻔﺎﺻِ ﻠ‬
Say, “Indeed, I am on a clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which
you are impatient(torment). Surely, the judgment is only for Allah, he sentences by the justice(gives verdict)
and he is the best of the deciders(57) Al-An’am

‫ون ﻣِنْ ُدو ِﻧ ِﮫ إِﻻ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ًء َﺳ ﱠﻣ ْﯾ ُﺗﻣُو َھﺎ أَ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم َوآ َﺑﺎؤُ ُﻛ ْم َﻣﺎ أَﻧز َل ﱠ‬
‫ﺎن إِ ِن ْاﻟﺣُ ْﻛ ُم إِﻻ ِ ﱠ ِ أَ َﻣ َر أَﻻ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُدوا‬
َ ‫َﻣﺎ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ٍ ‫ﷲُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ ﻣِنْ ﺳ ُْﻠ َط‬
‫( ﯾوﺳف‬40)‫ُون‬
َ ‫ﺎس ﻻ َﯾﻌْ ﻠَﻣ‬
ِ ‫إِﻻ إِﯾﱠﺎهُ َذﻟ َِك اﻟ ﱢدﯾنُ ْاﻟ َﻘ ﱢﯾ ُم َوﻟَﻛِنﱠ أَ ْﻛ َﺛ َر اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
You do not worship besides Him except only names which you have named(forged) you and your fathers,
for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command(judgement) is for none except Allah. He has
ordered that you worship none except Him(Monotheism), that is the (true)straight religion, but most (of)
mankind do not know(40)yussuf

ٍ ‫ب َوا ِﺣ ٍد َو ْاد ُﺧﻠُوا ﻣِنْ أَﺑ َْوا‬
ٍ ‫َو َﻗﺎ َل َﯾﺎ َﺑﻧِﻲﱠ ﻻ َﺗ ْد ُﺧﻠُوا ﻣِنْ َﺑﺎ‬
ِ ‫ﷲ ﻣِنْ َﺷﻲْ ٍء إِ ِن ْاﻟﺣُ ْﻛ ُم إِﻻ ِ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ب ُﻣ َﺗ َﻔرﱢ َﻗ ٍﺔ َو َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻏﻧِﻲ َﻋ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم ﻣ َِن ﱠ‬
ُ ‫َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َﺗ َو ﱠﻛ ْﻠ‬
‫( ﯾوﺳف‬67)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ت َو َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َﻓ ْﻠ َﯾ َﺗ َو ﱠﻛ ِل ْاﻟ ُﻣ َﺗ َو ﱢﻛﻠ‬
And he said, O my sons, do not enter from one gate but enter from different gates; and I cannot avail you
anything from (the fate of) Allah. surely The (absolute) ruling(judgment) is only for Allah; upon Him I have
relied, and upon Him let those who would rely (indeed)rely(67) Yussuf

‫…… َو َﻣنْ ﻟَ ْم َﯾﺣْ ُﻛ ْم ِﺑ َﻣﺎ أَﻧز َل ﱠ‬.
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬44)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ِك ُھ ُم ْاﻟ َﻛﺎﻓِر‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َﻓﺄُوﻟَﺋ‬
…..And whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down, those are the unbelievers(44) Al-Maidah

So it is clear that Almighty Allah must be the only judge, and His law must be the only law by which
everything and everybody must be judged. And that any arbitration in disputes and litigation, must be
according to the law of Allah exclusively.
The submission to Allah (Islam) is by the submission to Allah’s law and orders in everything, and the
voluntary following and acceptance, just like all the creatures in the universe are doing, but the humans and
Jinn have the choice to accept and follow the laws of Allah, or to take other than Him as a judge and follow
other than His law, and certainly who wants happiness in this world and salvation in the beyond submits to
the laws of Allah with humility and docility like all creatures. And those who are rebelling and submitting to

other laws and taking other than Him as judges, will stand in front of the only judge(almighty Allah) the day
of judgment and He will sentence them to burn in hell forever.
And this kind of Shirk(polytheism) is the most dominant in humans life nowadays, it is even the basis on
which stands the whole system of life, cause people are rising(electing)some of them and give them the
status of “legislators”, and give them the right to put laws for them according to their passions; desires and
interests, by allowing them what Allah forbids and forbidding to them what Allah allows, which means that
they take them as Judges and divinities besides Allah. The god they worship is the “Gov”.
And these laws are everywhere and you can’t almost do anything in this world without accepting and
submitting to them, and accepting to judge by them in case of litigation. They are imposed in signature of
any kind of contracts(work contract, rent contact, buy/sell contacts…), in the issue of official documents(id
cards, passport,…) in the banking services(sending money, opening a bank account….), in almost all the
services on the internet in what is called “GCU” “General Conditions of Use” or “Terms of Use”, in which are
included the “Legal Conditions” which includes the acceptance and submitting to the laws of Taghut, so a
Muslim must be very careful when treating in anything with unbelievers or using their services.
These laws are now the only laws that people know even those who pretend to Islam, and even when they
judge themselves or anybody else to Islam they judge by the law of Taghut not by the law of Allah. So the
Muslim for them is the one to whom the Taghut gave a paper or certificate in which he says that he judges
him “Muslim” according to his law of “Civil Status”. In reality this people are completely and voluntarily
submitted to the Taghut not to almighty Allah, so they are Muslims(submitted) but to the Taghut not to
almighty Allah.
So, we disbelief in any Taghut that people take as a judge or legislator besides Allah, and we disbelief in any
kind of laws other than the law of Allah, and we judge as unbeliever(Kafir) anyone who participates in the
elections to choose a Taghut, or accepts their laws or agrees to respect them or promises to not overstep
them, or accepts to judge by them in case of litigation or participates in practising them by anyway, and who
do not judge them as unbelievers . To note that accepting or respecting another law than the the law of
Allah, is indeed respecting and accepting another legislator other than Allah, and taking him as a “god”
besides Allah.
And we judge also unbeliever(kafir) anyone who goes to the Human Courts, and ask their judgement even to
defend himself(or to the Court of Appeal), or participates in its judgment even as a witness, or accepts the
judgment of the court or involves himself in its practice by anyway, and who responds to the convocation of
the judge and presents himself to him, or even who just go to the court(since the only thing that is done in
court is Shirk) because it is a part of the “intention” to do Shirk, and it is clear in the Qur’an that who intends
to do Shirk is a Mushrik(polytheist):

‫ون أَنْ َﯾ َﺗ َﺣﺎ َﻛﻣُوا إِﻟَﻰ ﱠ‬
‫ت َو َﻗ ْد‬
ِ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏو‬
َ ‫ْك َو َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد‬
َ ‫ُون أَ ﱠﻧ ُﮭ ْم آ َﻣ ُﻧوا ِﺑ َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل إِﻟَﯾ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َﯾ ْز ُﻋﻣ‬
َ ‫أَﻟَ ْم َﺗ َر إِﻟَﻰ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫أُﻣِرُ وا أَنْ َﯾ ْﻛﻔُرُ وا ِﺑ ِﮫ َوﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد اﻟ ﱠﺷﯾ‬
ً ‫ﺿ َﻼ ًﻻ َﺑﻌ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬60)‫ِﯾدا‬
َ ‫ْطﺎنُ أَنْ ﯾُﺿِ ﻠﱠ ُﮭ ْم‬

And we judge also as a Kafir anyone who files a complaint with the police, cause it is the first step in the
process of asking the judgement of other than Allah (At-Tahakum Ila Taghut), or even with any other
instance or organism that judges by other than Allah’s laws, like the sports federations(FIFA..) who have
their own laws and judges by them in the litigations(we talk here about the sanction and retaliation when it
concerns causing harm or damage in bodies or properties), so we judge all the above as unbelievers and
who do not judge them so.
To note that sometimes there is some confusion like in the case of the Highway code, there is no problem to
respect the traffic lights or signs, because they are put to prevent harm to people, it is a part of “the laws of
cause and effect” like if you put petrol on fire it burns, or like if you drive with more than a certain speed you
deviate and crash, these are the rules according to which Allah had made things to happen, in Islam it is
called “Sunnah Kawniyyah”, which means “Universal Laws”, since they are the rules that commands the
universe and the behaviour of everything in it. So respecting the signs is not a submission to the law of
Taghut but to the universal law of Allah(except if the person respects them by respect to the Taghut ). But
the respect of the Highway code is a respect and submission to Taghut, Why?????, because it contains the
sanctions(retaliations) legislated by the Taghut, since the sanctions must be only and exclusively according
to Allah’s law.
The same thing for all the measures and rules regarding the safety, fire prevention, hygiene, building rules,
work safety, standards…., but not the sanctions imposed in case of non-respecting them, because these are
invented by humans and in contradiction with the sanctions that almighty Allah imposed. Since when you
cause some harm to somebody by your car, in the law of Allah he has the right to cause you exactly the
same harm or ask you a certain amount of money fixed by the “Shari’ah” or even to forgive you. But in
human laws it is only a compensation or indemnity, and a fine or a certain time in prison. In this case it is a
greater Shirk, since it is taking another than almighty Allah as a judge and judging by other than his law.

-c) Disbelief in Taghut in the Cult (An-Nussuk)

Almighty Allah said:

‫ﺿ ًّرا َوﻻ َﻧ ْﻔﻌًﺎ َو ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬76)‫ﷲُ ھ َُو اﻟ ﱠﺳﻣِﯾ ُﻊ ْاﻟ َﻌﻠِﯾ ُم‬
ُ ِ‫ﷲ َﻣﺎ ﻻ َﯾﻣْ ﻠ‬
َ ‫ك ﻟَ ُﻛ ْم‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
Say, Do you worship, apart from Allah, that which possesses for you neither harm nor profit, and it is Allah
Who is the All-Hearer, All-Knower(76) Al-Maidah

‫ون ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ون َھؤُ ﻻ ِء‬
‫ﷲَ ِﺑ َﻣﺎ ﻻ َﯾﻌْ ﻠَ ُم ﻓِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ﻗُ ْل أَ ُﺗ َﻧ ﱢﺑ ُﺋ‬
ِ ‫ﺷ َﻔ َﻌﺎؤُ َﻧﺎ ﻋِ ْﻧ َد ﱠ‬
َ ُ‫ﷲ َﻣﺎ ﻻ َﯾﺿُرﱡ ُھ ْم َوﻻ َﯾ ْﻧ َﻔ ُﻌ ُﮭ ْم َو َﯾﻘُوﻟ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫َو َﯾﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
‫( ﯾوﻧس‬18)‫ون‬
ِ ‫اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َﺎوا‬
َ ‫ض ُﺳﺑ َْﺣﺎ َﻧ ُﮫ َو َﺗ َﻌﺎﻟَﻰ َﻋﻣﱠﺎ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِر ُﻛ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َوﻻ ﻓِﻲ اﻷر‬
And they worship, apart from Allah, what neither harms them nor profits them; and they say: These are our
intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you really inform Allah of what He does not know (either) in the heavens or
in the earth?. Exalted is He and high above what they associate( with Him)(18) Yunus

‫( اﻹﺳراء‬56)‫ف اﻟﺿﱡرﱢ َﻋ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َوﻻ َﺗﺣْ ِوﯾﻼ‬
َ ‫ون َﻛ ْﺷ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َز َﻋﻣْ ُﺗ ْم ﻣِنْ ُدو ِﻧ ِﮫ َﻓﻼ َﯾﻣْ ﻠِ ُﻛ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ِل ْادﻋُوا اﻟﱠذ‬
Say: Call unto those besides Him whom you pretend(to be gods). They have neither the power to remove
the harm from you, nor(its) transference(56) Al-Isra’e

So we Disbelieve in any type of Taghuts towards whom(which) people direct their cult rituals besides Allah,
or they take as intermediary between them and Allah, like idols, trees, spirits, priests, dead, graves, sorcerer,
witchdoctor, Sufi sheikhs, Saints, what is called “Awliya’e”…etc.
And we judge polytheist(Mushrik) and unbeliever(kafir) anyone who directs any cult ritual to other than
Allah or to an intermediary between him and Allah, to whom(which) he vows his prayers, sacrifices
(slaughter), alms, prostration, inclination, fasting, pilgrimage, or any other kind of worship to get closer to
other than Allah, or through him(it) to Allah.
And the best form of worship as said Ibnu-Abbas(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhuma): "The best forms of worship is the
Du'a". Du’a is supplication and invocation and asking anything needed from Almighty Allah.
So we judge polytheist(Mushrik) and unbeliever(kafir) anyone who supplicates and invocates other than
almighty Allah, or who asks anything that can be provided only by Allah from other than him; like who asks
provision, sustenance, aid, cure, guidance, offspring, help, salvation, wealth, intercession, to remove the
harm or else. And who fears other than Allah when he(it) is absent, like the Sufi polytheists who fear their
dead sheikhs; or who has hope in other than Allah or relies on other than Him. And we judge also as a
Kafir(unbeliever) anyone who do not judge them kafirs.

-3) Disbelief in Taghut in the Names and Attributes (of Allah)

Almighty Allah said:

‫( اﻷﻋراف‬180)‫ون‬
َ ُ ‫ون ﻓِﻲ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ِﺋ ِﮫ َﺳﯾُﺟْ َز ْو َن َﻣﺎ َﻛﺎ ُﻧوا َﯾﻌْ َﻣﻠ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن ﯾ ُْﻠ ِﺣ ُد‬
َ ‫َو ِ ﱠ ِ اﻷﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُﺳْ َﻧﻰ َﻓ ْﺎدﻋُوهُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ َو َذرُ وا اﻟﱠذ‬
And to Allah belong the Most Beautiful Names, so invoke Him by them. And leave(the company of) those
who blaspheme(belie, deny) about His names. They will be recompensed for what they were doing(180) AlA’raf

‫ﱠ‬
‫( طﮫ‬08)‫ﷲُ ﻻ إِﻟَ َﮫ إِﻻ ھ َُو ﻟَ ُﮫ اﻷﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُ ﺳْ َﻧﻰ‬
Allah! there is no god except Him! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names(08) Taha

‫ھ َُو ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ض َوھ َُو ْاﻟ َﻌ ِز‬
(24)‫ﯾز ْاﻟ َﺣﻛِﯾ ُم‬
ِ ‫ﺻوﱢ رُ ﻟَ ُﮫ ْاﻷَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُ ﺳْ َﻧﻰ ﯾ َُﺳ ﱢﺑ ُﺢ ﻟَ ُﮫ َﻣﺎ ﻓِﻲ اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َﺎوا‬
َ ‫ﺎرئُ ْاﻟ ُﻣ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َو ْاﻷَر‬
ِ ‫ﷲُ ْاﻟ َﺧﺎﻟ ُِق ْاﻟ َﺑ‬
‫اﻟﺣﺷر‬
He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names . All
that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise(24) Al-Hashr

‫( اﻟﺷورى‬11) ُ‫ْس َﻛﻣ ِْﺛﻠِ ِﮫ َﺷﻲْ ٌء َوھ َُو اﻟ ﱠﺳﻣِﯾ ُﻊ ْاﻟﺑَﺻِ ﯾر‬
َ ‫ﻟَﯾ‬...........
…….There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer(11) Ash-Shoura

Allah's names and attributes are for Him alone, No one and nothing is comparable to Him; therefore, giving
Allah's names or attributes to other than Him is a greater shirk.
In the context of Allah's names and attributes, shirk can be committed in a number of ways:

-a) Giving Allah’s Names and Aattributes to other than Him

At the time of the Prophet(salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), idols were worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula.
“Al-Lat” and “Al-'Uzza” were names of idols. “Al-Lat” is derived from the Arabic word “Ilah”, meaning
“deity”, and “Al-'Uzza” derives from ”Al- 'Azeez”, one of the names of Allah, by calling their idols “Al-Lat”
and “Al-'Uzza”, the people committed shirk using Allah's names.
The same nowadays for the Taghuts who pretend for themselves or their followers pretends for them some
of the names and attributes of Almighty Allah, like his Majesty, his Highness, or even “King of kings” as it
was the case of some rulers in Arab countries these last years. About that talks the Hadeeth:

َ‫ ﻻ‬، ِ‫ إِنﱠ أَ ْﺧ َﻧ َﻊ اﺳْ ٍم ﻋِ ْﻧ َد ﷲِ َرﺟُ ٌل َﺗ َﺳﻣﱠﻰ َﻣﻠ َِك اﻷَﻣْ ﻼَك‬:‫ ﻗﺎل رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠم‬:‫ﻋن أﺑﻲ ھرﯾرة ﻗﺎل‬
‫ رواه اﻟﺑﺧﺎري وﻣﺳﻠم‬.ُ ‫َﻣﺎﻟ َِك إِﻻﱠ ﷲ‬
Abu-Hurayra(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) said: Rrassul-Allah sall-Allah alayhe wa sallam said: The most
wretched person with Allah (on the Day of judgment) a man who called himself the “King of Kings” there is
no Sovereign except Allah. Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

The same thing for who calls himself or others call him, the judge of the judges, or the prince of the princes
or similar, cause all these names that express absolute power, sovereignty and pride are reserved to
almighty Allah alone.
The same thing also if anyone pretends for himself or others pretend for him some of the attributes of
almighty Allah, like knowing the hidden unseen(Ghayb), cause the “knower of the hidden unseen” is only
Allah, or the Legislator, or who gives luck, or who gives wealth, or happiness, or protection, or answer
people’s needs, or like those pretending that some of their people have some authority in the managing of
the universe or else.
So we disbelieve in anyone (or anything )that pretends or others pretend for him with his consent any name
of the names of almighty Allah or any of His attributes, and we judge unbeliever(Kafir) who believe it or do
it, and who do not judge him Kafir.

-b)

Giving to Allah the Names or Attributes of Creation

Allah is perfect and above the imperfect and the limited and flawed nature of His creation. It is not
permissible to name Allah with names of the creation or to attribute to Allah something from the attributes
of creation. For example, by calling Him “the Father” as the Christians do, “the Effective Cause” as do
philosophers, or the popular “Mother Nature”, or, as a group of Jews are quoted as saying in the Qur'an:

‫ﻟَ َﻘ ْد َﺳﻣ َِﻊ ﱠ‬
‫ِﯾن َﻗﺎﻟُوا إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
‫( آل ﻋﻣران‬181) .....‫ﷲَ َﻓﻘِﯾ ٌر َو َﻧﺣْ نُ أَ ْﻏﻧِ َﯾﺎ ُء‬
َ ‫ﷲُ َﻗ ْو َل اﻟﱠذ‬
"Surely, Allah has heard the statement of those(Jews) who say: “Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!”
......(181)Ali-lmran

‫( اﻷﻋراف‬180)‫ون‬
َ ُ ‫ون ﻓِﻲ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ِﺋ ِﮫ َﺳﯾُﺟْ َز ْو َن َﻣﺎ َﻛﺎ ُﻧوا َﯾﻌْ َﻣﻠ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن ﯾ ُْﻠ ِﺣ ُد‬
َ ‫َو ِ ﱠ ِ ْاﻷَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُﺳْ َﻧﻰ َﻓ ْﺎدﻋُوهُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ َو َذرُ وا اﻟﱠذ‬
And to Allah (belong) the Fairest Names, so invoke Him by them, and leave behind, the ones who blaspheme
His Names; they will soon be recompensed(for) what they were doing(180) Al-A’raf

Ibnu-‘Abbas(Radhiy-Allahu ‘anhuma) commented: The phrase “Blaspheme His names” means to give Him
names implying shirk. This was explained by other scholars who mentioned three ways of committing heresy
with respect to Allah's names: denying them, describing Allah with attributes of creation. and describing
created beings with Allah's names or attributes.
So we judge unbeliever anyone who affirms to almighty Allah any name or attribute of created things, and
who do not judge him Kafir

-c) Affirming Attributes that Allah has Negated for Himself

Almighty Allah said:

‫( اﻟﺷورى‬11) ُ‫ْس َﻛﻣ ِْﺛﻠِ ِﮫ َﺷﻲْ ٌء َوھ َُو اﻟ ﱠﺳﻣِﯾﻊُ ْاﻟﺑَﺻِ ﯾر‬
َ ‫ ﻟَﯾ‬............
…….There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer(11) Ash-Shoura

As we have seen, Allah has negated many attributes from Himself, attributes that imply imperfection or fault
in some way, for instance: that He has a son, that He becomes tired or that He sleeps.

Shirk can be committed by affirming for Allah that which He negated from Himself. For example, if people
refer to Jesus(alayhi salam) as the son of Allah, they have committed shirk in Allah's attributes. Likewise,
those who make pictures of Allah have likened Allah to the creation; it is not possible to imagine something
outside the realm of their experience, something of which they have no knowledge.
In this way they have affirmed for Allah a likeness to creation, while Allah has negated and rejected that
likeness from Himself.
So we judge unbeliever anyone who affirms to almighty Allah any attribute that He has negated for Himself,
and who do not judge him Kafir

-d) Denying His Names and Attributes

We mentioned previously among the fundamentals of the belief in Allah's names and attributes, that if
someone denies some or all Allah's names and attributes, he has committed shirk:

ٍ ْ‫ض َو َﻧ ْﻛﻔُ ُر ِﺑ َﺑﻌ‬
ٍ ْ‫ون ُﻧ ْؤﻣِنُ ِﺑ َﺑﻌ‬
َ ‫ض َوﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد‬
َ ُ ‫ﷲ َورُ ُﺳﻠِ ِﮫ َو َﯾﻘُوﻟ‬
ِ ‫ون أَنْ ُﯾ َﻔرﱢ ﻗُوا َﺑﯾ َْن ﱠ‬
َ ‫ون ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َورُ ُﺳﻠِ ِﮫ َوﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد‬
َ ُ‫ِﯾن َﯾ ْﻛﻔُر‬
َ ‫إِنﱠ اﻟﱠذ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬151)‫ﯾن َﻋ َذاﺑًﺎ ﻣ ُِﮭﯾ ًﻧﺎ‬
َ ‫ُون َﺣ ًﻘّﺎ َوأَﻋْ َﺗ ْد َﻧﺎ ﻟ ِْﻠ َﻛﺎﻓ ِِر‬
َ ‫ك ُھ ُم ْاﻟ َﻛﺎ ِﻓر‬
َ ‫( أُوﻟَ ِﺋ‬150)‫أَنْ َﯾ ﱠﺗﺧ ُِذوا َﺑﯾ َْن َذﻟ َِك َﺳ ِﺑﯾﻼ‬
"Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers, and wish to discriminate between Allah and His
Messengers and say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others. And wish to adopt a way in between(150)
those are the true disbelievers. And we have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment(151)
An-Nissa

It is imperative to believe in the whole revelation, and so in all the revealed names of Allah, and that they
belong to Him alone, as well as all of the attributes that have been revealed, without denying anyone of
them. Denying even one attribute is like denying them all, and this constitutes a disbelief.
The basis of faith and its foundational guidelines are belief in Allah, in His Names, and His attributes. So
whoever denies anyone of Allah's Names or Attributes, he initiates what contradicts and nullifies Tawheed,
and this is a branch of disbelief. When seeking knowledge of Allah, it is essential for individuals to be aware
of the ways in which they can commit shirk, or associate partners with Allah, which could cancel Islam.
And so we disbelief in anything or anyone(Taghut) who pretends or others pretends for him, anyone of the
names or attributes of almighty Allah, and we judge unbeliever who believe it; say it; or do it, and who do
not judge him unbeliever(Kafir).

We judge also unbeliever(Kafir) anyone who denies anyone of the names or attributes of almighty Allah, or
affirms to Allah anything(attributes)that He negated for Himself, or gives Him the attributes of creations,
and who do not judge him unbeliever(Kafir).

-4) The Disavowal of the Polytheists

Amighty Allah said:

ْ ‫َﻗ ْد َﻛﺎ َﻧ‬
‫ﷲ َﻛ َﻔرْ َﻧﺎ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َﻣ َﻌ ُﮫ إِ ْذ َﻗﺎﻟُوا ِﻟ َﻘ ْوﻣ ِِﮭ ْم إِ ﱠﻧﺎ ﺑ َُرآ ُء ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َو ِﻣﻣﱠﺎ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
َ ‫ت ﻟَ ُﻛ ْم أُﺳْ َوةٌ َﺣ َﺳ َﻧ ٌﺔ ﻓِﻲ إِﺑ َْراھِﯾ َم َواﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
‫( اﻟﻣﻣﺗﺣﻧﺔ‬04).......ُ‫ﺿﺎ ُء أَ َﺑ ًدا َﺣ ﱠﺗﻰ ُﺗ ْؤ ِﻣ ُﻧوا ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َوﺣْ دَ ه‬
َ ‫ِﺑ ُﻛ ْم َو َﺑدَ ا َﺑ ْﯾ َﻧ َﻧﺎ َو َﺑ ْﯾ َﻧ ُﻛ ُم ْاﻟ َﻌدَ َاوةُ َو ْاﻟ َﺑ ْﻐ‬
Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim(Abraham) and those with him, when they
said to their people: “Verily, we are completely innocent from you and whatever you worship besides Allah,
We disbelieve in you, and between you and us enmity has appeared and abhorrence forever, until you
believe in Allah alone…..(04) Al-Mutahanah

‫( َوﻻ‬04)‫( َوﻻ أَ َﻧﺎ َﻋ ِﺎﺑ ٌد َﻣﺎ َﻋ َﺑ ْد ُﺗ ْم‬03)‫ون َﻣﺎ أَﻋْ ُﺑ ُد‬
َ ‫( َوﻻ أَ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم َﻋ ِﺎﺑ ُد‬02)‫ون‬
َ ‫( ﻻ أَﻋْ ُﺑ ُد َﻣﺎ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬01)‫ون‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل َﯾﺎ أَ ﱡﯾ َﮭﺎ ْاﻟ َﻛﺎ ِﻓ ُر‬
‫( اﻟﻛﺎﻓرون‬06)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫أَ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم َﻋ ِﺎﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫( ﻟَ ُﻛ ْم دِﯾ ُﻧ ُﻛ ْم َوﻟ َِﻲ د‬05)‫ون َﻣﺎ أَﻋْ ُﺑ ُد‬
Say, “O you disbelievers(01) I do not worship what you worship(02) Nor are you worshiping what I
worship(03) Nor I am worshiping what you have worshiped(04) Nor are you worshiping what I worship(05)
you have your religion and I have my religion(06) Al-Kafirun

The disbelief in Taghut and rejection and denying of polytheism, starts by the disbelief; rejection and
severance of his(its) worshippers and followers, since almighty Allah made the disavowal and rejection of
the polytheist before the disbelief in the idol when he said: “Verily, we are completely innocent from you
and whatever you worship besides Allah”(04)Al-Mumtahana
And their disavowal starts first of all by isolating himself from them, as almighty Allah said in many verses in
Qur’an :

‫( ﻣرﯾم‬48)‫ون ِﺑ ُد َﻋﺎ ِء َرﺑﱢﻲ َﺷ ِﻘ ًّﯾﺎ‬
َ ‫ﷲ َوأَ ْدﻋُو َرﺑﱢﻲ َﻋ َﺳﻰ أَﻻ أَ ُﻛ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫َوأَﻋْ َﺗ ِزﻟُ ُﻛ ْم َو َﻣﺎ َﺗ ْدﻋ‬
ِ ‫ُون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
And I isolate(myself) from you and what you invoke apart from Allah; and I will invoke my Lord. It may be
that in invoking my Lord, I will not be wretched(48) Maryam

‫( ﻣرﯾم‬49)........‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫َﻓﻠَﻣﱠﺎ اﻋْ َﺗ َزﻟَ ُﮭ ْم َو َﻣﺎ َﯾﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
So, when he isolated(himself) from them and that which they were worshipping beside Allah…(49) Maryam

‫ون إِﻻ ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﻛﮭف‬16)... ِ‫ﷲَ َﻓﺄْوُ وا إِﻟَﻰ ْاﻟ َﻛﮭْف‬
َ ‫َوإِ ِذ اﻋْ َﺗ َز ْﻟ ُﺗﻣُو ُھ ْم َو َﻣﺎ َﯾﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
(The young men said to one another): “And when you isolate(yourselves) from them, and that which they
worship, besides Allah, then seek refuge in the Cave…… (16) Al-Kahf

The Disavowal of the polytheists in reality is beforehand to the disavowal of the idols themselves, why ?? .
Because the origin of idolatry(polytheism) is not the idol itself, as idolatry and idols do not exist in reality:

ٍ‫ِﯾﮭ َﻣﺎ ﻣِنْ ﺷِ رْ ك‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣ ِْﺛ َﻘﺎ َل َذرﱠ ٍة ﻓِﻲ اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َوا‬
َ ‫ﷲ ﻻ َﯾﻣْ ﻠِ ُﻛ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ِل ْادﻋُوا اﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َوﻻ ﻓِﻲ اﻷر‬
ِ ‫ض َو َﻣﺎ ﻟَ ُﮭ ْم ﻓ‬
ِ ‫ِﯾن َز َﻋ ْﻣ ُﺗ ْم ﻣِنْ ُد‬
‫( ﺳﺑﺄ‬22)‫ﯾر‬
ٍ ‫َو َﻣﺎ ﻟَ ُﮫ ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﮭ ْم ﻣِنْ َظ ِﮭ‬
Say: “Call upon those whom you pretend(that they are gods) besides Allah, they possess not even the
weight of an atom, either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor there is for
Him any assistant from among them(in His creations)(22) Saba’

But it is(idolatry and idols) a pure invention of the idolaters(polytheists), since it is the polytheists who
sculpted the statue, or build the (worshiped)mausoleum, or elected the deputy who will legislate the laws.

‫ُون إِﻻ ﱠ‬
‫ِﻲ إِﻻ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ٌء َﺳ ﱠﻣ ْﯾ ُﺗﻣُو َھﺎ أَ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم َوآ َﺑﺎؤُ ُﻛ ْم َﻣﺎ أَﻧز َل ﱠ‬
‫اﻟظنﱠ َو َﻣﺎ َﺗﮭ َْوى اﻷ ْﻧﻔُسُ َوﻟَ َﻘ ْد‬
َ ‫ﺎن إِنْ َﯾ ﱠﺗ ِﺑﻌ‬
َ ‫إِنْ ھ‬
ٍ ‫ﷲ ُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ ﻣِنْ ﺳ ُْﻠ َط‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺟم‬23)‫َﺟﺎ َء ُھ ْم ﻣِنْ َرﺑ ِﱢﮭ ُم ْاﻟﮭُدَ ى‬

Decidedly they(idols) are nothing except names you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has
sent down no authority. Decidedly they closely follow nothing except surmise and what(prejudices) the
selves yearn to, and indeed the guidance has already come to them from their Lord(23) An-Najm

This is one of Islam's main foundations, namely the qualities of Al-Wala' Wa'l-Bara', which are two major
prerequisites of true faith: Al-Wala' is a manifestation of sincere love for Allah, His prophets and the
believers. Al-Bara', on the other hand, is an expression of enmity and hatred towards falsehood and its
adherents. Both are evidence of Iman, and qualities which distinguish the believers from the non-believers.
And since we are in the negation part of Tawheed “LaI laha” or (Al-Kufr Bi Taghut) we talk about Al-Bara’
min-Al -Mushrikin :
And the legal definition of “Al-Bara’e” is: the hatred and enmity, so it imposes to hate the unbelievers and to
take them as enemies.
And to disavow the polytheists it must be known how to judge people in the law of Allah, because the
status of the individual(Muslim or Kafir) differs between the land of Islam(Darul-Islam) and the land of
disbelief(Darul-Kufr), in each one of them the person has an original status that is assigned to its inhabitants.
Since the laws and the status of things changes from a land to another, for example in some countries selling
drugs is allowed, but in others it is punishable by death. And the laws of a country are not applicable in
another.

-a) The

Original Status of People

As long as the land of Islam(Darul-Islam) does not exist since hundreds of years or more, which makes the
whole world a land of disbelief(Daru-Kufr), we'll talk about the original status of people living in the land of
disbelief(Darul-Kufr).
Almighty Allah said:

َ ْ‫ﷲ َﻓ َﺗ َﺑ ﱠﯾ ُﻧوا َوﻻ َﺗﻘُوﻟُوا ﻟِ َﻣنْ أَ ْﻟ َﻘﻰ إِﻟَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ُم اﻟﺳﱠﻼ َم ﻟَﺳ‬
‫ض‬
َ ‫ون َﻋ َر‬
َ ‫ت ﻣ ُْؤ ِﻣ ًﻧﺎ َﺗ ْﺑ َﺗ ُﻐ‬
ِ ‫ﯾل ﱠ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا إِ َذا‬
َ ‫ﯾﺎ أَ ﱡﯾ َﮭﺎ اﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫ﺿ َر ْﺑ ُﺗ ْم ﻓِﻲ َﺳ ِﺑ‬
‫ِﯾرةٌ َﻛ َذﻟ َِك ُﻛ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑ ُل َﻓ َﻣنﱠ ﱠ‬
‫ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ َﺗ َﺑ ﱠﯾ ُﻧوا إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
(94)‫ون َﺧ ِﺑﯾرً ا‬
َ ُ ‫ﺎن ِﺑ َﻣﺎ َﺗﻌْ َﻣﻠ‬
َ ‫ﷲَ َﻛ‬
َ ‫ﷲ َﻣ َﻐﺎ ِﻧ ُم َﻛﺛ‬
ِ ‫ْاﻟ َﺣ َﯾﺎ ِة اﻟ ﱡد ْﻧ َﯾﺎ َﻓ ِﻌ ْﻧدَ ﱠ‬
‫اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬
O you who have believed, if you go(fighting) in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who
gives you a greeting(saying: salamu Alaykum):“You are not a believer,” aspiring for the goods of worldly life;
There are much booties with Allah. You(yourselves) were like that before(unbelievers); then Allah conferred

His favour upon you(guiding you to islam), so investigate. Indeed . Allah is Ever Well-Aware of what you do.
(94) An-Nissa

And it was sent down because:
‫ ﻓﺳﻠم‬،‫ﻧﻔر ﻣن أﺻﺣﺎب رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠّم وھو ﻓﻲ ﻏﻧم ﻟﮫ‬
ُ ‫ﻣر رﺟل ﻣن ﺑﻧﻲ‬
ّ :‫ﻋن اﺑن ﻋﺑﺎس رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮭﻣﺎ ﻗﺎل‬
ٍ ‫ﺳﻠَﯾم ﻋﻠﻰ‬
َ
‫ ﻓﺄﻧـزل ﷲ ﻋز‬،‫ ﻓﺄﺗوا ﺑﮭﺎ رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠم‬،‫ ﻣﺎ ﺳﻠّم ﻋﻠﯾﻛم إﻻ ﻟﯾﺗﻌو َذ ﻣﻧﻛم! ﻓ َﻌ َﻣدوا إﻟﯾﮫ ﻓﻘﺗﻠوه وأﺧذوا ﻏﻧﻣﮫ‬:‫ ﻓﻘﺎﻟوا‬،‫ﻋﻠﯾﮭم‬
(‫ " ﯾﺎ أﯾﮭﺎ اﻟذﯾن آﻣﻧوا إذا ﺿرﺑﺗم ﻓﻲ ﺳﺑﯾل ﷲ ﻓﺗﺑﯾﻧوا " إﻟﻰ آﺧر اﻵﯾﺔ )ﺗﻔﺳﯾر اﻟطﺑري‬:‫وﺟل‬
Ibnu-Abbas( Radhiya Allahu ‘anhuma) said: a man from the Tribe of Banu-Sulaym crossed near some of the
companions of Rassul Allah (salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) driving his sheeps and he greeted them (by AsSamalu Alaykum), then they have said between them: “he greeted you(by salam) just because he feared
you”, so they killed him and took his sheeps to Rassul Allah salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam, then almighty
Allah sent down the verse: ” O you who have believed, if you go(fighting) in the cause of Allah, investigate..”
to the end of the verse. (Tafseer At-Tabari)
From the verse and the reason of its revelation we see that: almighty Allah revealed this ayah to impose a
new restriction. which says that we must exclude the one that shows a clear “sign of Islam” from the general
status of the people living in the land of Kufr. which is “disbelief”, because it is clear that the Sahabas
(Radiya Allahu ‘anhum) had no doubt about assigning the status of unbelievers to the people living in the
land of Kufr. Since they Killed that Sahabi who greeted them by mistake(thinking that he was a Kafir).
So this is the understanding of the Sahaba(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhum) concerning the status of people in the
land of Kufr, and reported by Almighty Allah in Qur’an. And since that there is absolutely no doubt that the
original status of people living in the land of Kufr is certainly “ kufr”(disbelief) .
The above ayah also is an evidence that judging people by affiliating them to their land is valid, or even to
their people(Tribe, nation, family..etc).
Note: The sign of Islam is the sign that is reserved only and exclusively to Muslims, as was "Salam Alaykum"
at the time of Sahaba, since the Arab polytheists in that time were greeting by “good morning” or “good
evening”. “Salam Alaykum” was introduced by Islam.
But now it's no longer the case, because more than a billion of polytheists use it between them(greet by it),
and as for the appearances and even cult rituals like "Salat" or "Haj" or even the so-called "Jihad", they are
no longer Signs of Islam as long as they are practiced by polytheists. The worshippers of graves and dead like
Sufi and Shia or even the Taghuts and theire soldiers are doing Salat, haj, have beards and even claim to do
Jihad. They keep this rituals just like a part from the cultural heritage of their ancestors. And it does not
benefit them in any way since almighty Allah had made Tawheed as a condition to accept peoples deeds :

َ ‫ِﯾن ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﻟَﺋِنْ أَ ْﺷ َر ْﻛ‬
‫( اﻟزﻣر‬65)‫ﯾن‬
َ ‫ت ﻟَ َﯾﺣْ َﺑ َطنﱠ َﻋ َﻣﻠُ َك َوﻟَ َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ َﺧﺎﺳِ ِر‬
َ ‫ك َوإِﻟَﻰ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫َوﻟَ َﻘ ْد أُوﺣ َِﻲ إِﻟَ ْﯾ‬

And certainly, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: Surely if you associate(partners with
Allah); your work would certainly come to naught, and you would certainly be of the losers(65) Az-Zumar

And since it is well-known that the whole system of life nowadays is built on the submission to the human
laws, and people do not even know what is Tawheed, or what “La Ilaha Ill-Allah” means and imposes, but
they just repeat some rituals because their parents were doing them. They can be judged only as polytheists
and unbelievers(Kafirs).
And there are many people like the “pretenders to Jihad” who says that they do not judge “Kafir”somebody
who practices the rituals of Islam unless they see an evident” Kufr “ from him, but the question to which
they should answer before that is: where is his Islam?????, does he even know what is Islam??, does he
know Tawheed???, does he know the meaning of “La Ilaha Ill-Allah” and its conditions of validity, is he free
from its cancelers????, is he free from Shirk ??. This is the religion of Allah, not a game.
Almighty Allah has created the humans only to worship him, and the Muslim is the true worshiper of Allah,
so how could be Muslim the one who does not know how to believe in Allah???, and does not know how to
worship Allah???. How could he fulfil the mission for which he was created???. May Allah guide those truly
seeking His guidance, and curse those who deviate people from his path, Ameen.

-b) We Disavow all people

Since the whole world is a “land of kufr” which implicates that all his inhabitants have the original status of
“kufr”(disbelief), we disavow all of them except those we have the certainty about their islam.
And we completely reject the invented “Bid’a” called “Maj'hul Al-Hal” which can be translated by “the one
who has an unknown status”(not Muslim but not Kafir also) by which some ignorants judge the people who
practice some rituals or have some appearances related to Islam, so they give them an intermediary status
which is in contradiction with the way Almighty Allah had divided people in Qur’an :

‫ھ َُو اﻟﱠذِي َﺧﻠَ َﻘ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َﻛﺎ ِﻓرٌ َو ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم ﻣ ُْؤ ِﻣنٌ َو ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﺗﻐﺎﺑن‬02) ٌ‫ون ﺑَﺻِ ﯾر‬
َ ُ ‫ﷲُ ِﺑ َﻣﺎ َﺗﻌْ َﻣﻠ‬
It is Him Who created you, then(he made that)some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers.
And Allah is All-Seer of what you do(02) At-Taghabun

We see that the unbelievers are mentioned first because they are the majority among people, and that the
believers are the exception among them, and almighty Allah has divided people into two categories only
“Believers” and “ Unbelievers”, and nothing else. So the one who is described as “who has an unknown
status" and as long as his Islam is not proven, is only an unbeliever(Kafir) like others, and his disavowal is a
must for the validity of Islam, and who do not judge him unbeliever is judged unbeliever like him, and
judging him so is a part from the basis of the religion(Aslu-Din).
And we believe that the rules of judgment by affiliation(Ah'kam At-Taba'iyyah) are included in the “basis of
the religion”(Tawheed) since it is impossible to fulfill it without knowing them, and since it is impossible to
disavow the polytheists if we don’t know how to judge people.
And we disavow and judge unbeliever whoever accepts the compulsory(Ikrah) or anything else as an excuse
to do polytheism, since almighty Allah had clearly showed that in Qur’an:

‫إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬48)‫ون َذﻟ َِك ﻟِ َﻣنْ َﯾ َﺷﺎ ُء َو َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ِد ا ْﻓ َﺗ َرى إِ ْﺛﻣًﺎ ﻋَظِ ﯾﻣًﺎ‬
َ ‫ﷲَ ﻻ َﯾ ْﻐﻔِرُ أَنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ َر َك ِﺑ ِﮫ َو َﯾ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُر َﻣﺎ ُد‬
Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating(partners) to Him, and He forgives what is less than that to whom
He wills. And whoever associates to Allah has certainly commited a tremendous sin(48) An-Nissa

‫إِنﱠ ﱠ‬
ً ‫ﺿﻼﻻ َﺑﻌ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬116)‫ِﯾدا‬
َ ‫ﺿ ﱠل‬
َ ‫ون َذﻟ َِك ﻟِ َﻣنْ َﯾ َﺷﺎ ُء َو َﻣنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِركْ ِﺑﺎ ﱠ ِ َﻓ َﻘ ْد‬
َ ‫ﷲَ ﻻ َﯾ ْﻐﻔِرُ أَنْ ُﯾ ْﺷ َر َك ِﺑ ِﮫ َو َﯾ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُر َﻣﺎ ُد‬
Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating(partners) to Him, and He forgives what is less than that to whom
He wills. And whoever associates to Allah has certainly gone far astray(116) An-Nissa

These two Ayat (verses) were sent down after the ayah that gives permission to “say” kufr in case of fearing
to be killed:

ْ ‫َﻣنْ َﻛ َﻔ َر ﺑِﺎ ﱠ ِ ﻣِنْ َﺑﻌْ ِد إِﯾ َﻣﺎﻧِ ِﮫ إِﻻ َﻣنْ أ ُ ْﻛر َه َو َﻗ ْﻠ ُﺑ ُﮫ ﻣ‬
‫ﺿبٌ ﻣ َِن‬
َ ‫ﺻ ْدرً ا َﻓ َﻌﻠَﯾ ِْﮭ ْم َﻏ‬
َ ‫ﺎن َوﻟَﻛِنْ َﻣنْ َﺷ َر َح ِﺑ ْﺎﻟ ُﻛ ْﻔ ِر‬
ِ ‫ُط َﻣﺋِنﱞ ِﺑﺎﻹﯾ َﻣ‬
ِ
‫( اﻟﻧﺣل‬106)‫ﷲ َوﻟَ ُﮭ ْم َﻋ َذابٌ َﻋظِ ﯾ ٌم‬
ِ‫ﱠ‬
Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief… except for one who is forced(to say Kufr) while his heart is
secure in faith. But those who(willingly) open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah , and
for them is a great punishment(106) An-Nahl

And almighty Allah

َ َ‫…… َوا ْﻟﻔِ ْﺗ َﻧ ُﺔ أ‬..
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬191).....‫ﺷ ﱡد ﻣِنَ ا ْﻟ َﻘ ْﺗ ِل‬
….And Al-Fitnah is worse than the killing….(191) Al-Baqarah

‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬217).....‫ َوا ْﻟﻔِ ْﺗ َﻧ ُﺔ أَ ْﻛ َﺑ ُر ﻣِنَ ا ْﻟ َﻘ ْﺗ ِل‬...........
……And Al-Fitnah is greater than the killing…..(217) Al-Baqarah

And there is a consensus between the Salaf(the Three first centuries) that Al-Fitnah means “Shirk”
(polytheism), so it is clear that the “killing” cannot be an excuse to do the Shirk(polytheism) which is greater
and worse than it, you can’t behead somebody to stop the pain of his tooth, for example.
So we disavow whoever accepts any excuse to do Shirk whatever it was(even the killing), and we judge him
kafir and who do not judge him so.
And also we judge kafir(unbeliever) whoever prays “Salat” with polytheists, and who do not judge him so.
So we disavow all people and judge them unbelievers(Kafirs), except those we have the certainty about their
Islam.

-c) How to Disavow the Polytheists (and all Unbelievers)

We disavow polytheists by hating, rejecting, loathing and repulsing them, and by keeping ourselves in
severance with them and avoiding them as much as possible, first of all by leaving their groups whatever it
was: tribe, ethnical group, nation, organization, political party, brotherhood, association, league, union or
any kind of grouping with unbelievers, and never integrate to them. And never participate to their events,
meetings and celebrations(weddings, baptism, funeral ..etc) or even visit them except in case of necessity,
even the family(brothers, sisters, children) or relatives. The only exception is for the parents who are the
cause of our existence and for whom almighty Allah has given a place just after Him in the life of the human
being.

A Muslim does not make friends among unbelievers, the friend is the one with whom we share the joys and
woes of life and help each other mutually, and to whom we wish what we wish for ourselves. Not casual
acquaintances or neighbours or work partners or correspondents on the net or others, because these we
cannot avoid them as long as we live in the land of kufr and among unbelievers, and our relationship with
them is limited to trade and material matters and doesn’t involve emotional ties.
The Muslims nowadays are condemned to live as strangers among the unbeliever nations in the land of kufr,
until almighty Allah may allow us to establish the Land of Islam(Darul-Islam) to which all Muslims must
immigrate, may Allah make it soon, Ameen.

Up to here. This is how we understand the “Disbelief in Taghut”(Al-Kufr Bi Taghut) according to what we
have found in Qur’an and Authentic Sunnah.

Section two:

The Belief in Allah (Alone)

Believing in Allah alone without partner is the part of Affirmation “Illa Allah”(exceptAllah) in the Shahada of
Tawheed. It confirms that Allah is the only True God worthy of being worshipped, and thus all acts of
worship must be directed towards Him alone.
So we believe in Allah by a deep and sharp belief, that He is the only one who merits worship and
submission, and we devote our religion and our worship to Him, and we head towards Him in all areas of
our life, as He had ordered:

ُ ْ‫ﯾك ﻟَ ُﮫ َو ِﺑ َذﻟ َِك أُﻣِر‬
(163)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ت َوأَ َﻧﺎ أَ ﱠو ُل ْاﻟﻣُﺳْ ﻠِﻣ‬
َ ‫( َﺷ ِر‬162)‫ﺎي َو َﻣ َﻣﺎﺗِﻲ ِ ﱠ ِ َربﱢ ْاﻟ َﻌﺎﻟَﻣِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺻﻼﺗِﻲ َو ُﻧ ُﺳﻛِﻲ َو َﻣﺣْ َﯾ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل إِنﱠ‬
‫اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬

Say: Certainly my prayer and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds(162)
He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who submit(themselves)
(163) Al-An’am

Believing in Allah alone is to unify Him in His lordship, His divinity(worship) and in His names and attributes,
so we unify almighty Allah as the following:

-1) Unifying

ALLAH in Lordship

Almighty Allah said:

‫از َرةٌ ِو ْز َر أ ُ ْﺧ َرى ُﺛ ﱠم إِﻟَﻰ‬
ِ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﻏﯾ َْر ﱠ‬
ٍ ‫ﷲ أَ ْﺑﻐِﻲ َر ًّﺑﺎ َوھ َُو َربﱡ ُﻛ ﱢل َﺷﻲْ ٍء َوﻻ َﺗ ْﻛﺳِ بُ ُﻛ ﱡل َﻧ ْﻔ‬
ِ ‫س إِﻻ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ َﮭﺎ َوﻻ َﺗ ِز ُر َو‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬164)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫َر ﱢﺑ ُﻛ ْم َﻣرْ ِﺟ ُﻌ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ ُﯾ َﻧ ﱢﺑ ُﺋ ُﻛ ْم ِﺑ َﻣﺎ ُﻛ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم ﻓِﯾ ِﮫ َﺗ ْﺧ َﺗ ِﻠﻔ‬
Say, “Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns
not(sins) except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord
is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ(164) Al-An’am

Unifying Allah in Lordship, in Arabic “Tawheed ArRububiyyah” means to have the deep and sharp conviction
that Allah is the only Lord(Rabb), and to unify Him in all what is related to Lordship(characteristics, actions),
by admitting that Allah is the only owner, Creator, Provider of sustenance. The One who gives life and the
One who takes it away, the Beneficent and the One who is Able to cause harm, and the only One Who can
answer the invocations and peoples needs. He has all affairs and matters in His Hand and in His Hand is all
good, and He is able over everything, only Him remains when will be the “Last Day”, He sends the wind and
the rain, and He manages alone everything in the universe. And this kind of Tawheed was known and
admitted by most of people even the idolaters in Arabian peninsula in the time of Rassul Allah (salla Allahu
‘alayhe wa sallam) as almighty Allah said un Qur’an:

َ ‫ت َوﯾ ُْﺧ ِر ُج ْاﻟ َﻣﯾ‬
‫ﱢت ﻣ َِن‬
ُ ِ‫ض أَﻣﱠنْ َﯾﻣْ ﻠ‬
ِ ‫ﺎر َو َﻣنْ ﯾ ُْﺧ ِر ُج ْاﻟ َﺣﻲﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ َﻣ ﱢﯾ‬
َ ‫ْﺻ‬
َ ‫ك اﻟ ﱠﺳﻣ َْﻊ َو ْاﻷَﺑ‬
ِ ْ‫ﻗُ ْل َﻣنْ َﯾرْ ُزﻗُ ُﻛ ْم ﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣﺎ ِء َو ْاﻷَر‬
‫ون ﱠ‬
‫( ﯾوﻧس‬31)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ﷲ ُ َﻓﻘُ ْل أَ َﻓ َﻼ َﺗ ﱠﺗﻘ‬
َ ُ‫ﻣْر َﻓ َﺳ َﯾﻘُوﻟ‬
َ َ‫ْاﻟ َﺣﻲﱢ َو َﻣنْ ﯾُدَ ﱢﺑ ُر ْاﻷ‬

Say:“Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out
the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?” They will
say: “Allah”. Say then: Will you not then guard(against Allah’s torment)(31) Yunus

‫ﷲ إِنْ أَ َرادَ ﻧ َِﻲ ﱠ‬
‫ض ﻟَ َﯾ ُﻘوﻟُنﱠ ﱠ‬
‫ﷲ ُ ِﺑﺿُرﱟ َھ ْل‬
ِ ‫َوﻟَﺋِنْ َﺳﺄ َ ْﻟ َﺗ ُﮭ ْم َﻣنْ َﺧﻠَ َق اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َوا‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ ُﻗ ْل أَ َﻓ َرأَ ْﯾ ُﺗ ْم َﻣﺎ َﺗ ْدﻋ‬
َ ْ‫ت َواﻷر‬
ِ ‫ُون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
‫ﺎت َرﺣْ َﻣ ِﺗ ِﮫ ﻗُ ْل َﺣﺳْ ِﺑ َﻲ ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﺎت ﺿُرﱢ ِه أَ ْو أَ َرادَ ﻧِﻲ ِﺑ َرﺣْ َﻣ ٍﺔ َھ ْل ھُنﱠ ﻣُﻣْ ﺳِ َﻛ‬
ُ ‫ھُنﱠ َﻛﺎﺷِ َﻔ‬
‫( اﻟزﻣر‬38)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َﯾ َﺗ َو ﱠﻛ ُل ْاﻟ ُﻣ َﺗ َو ﱢﻛﻠ‬
And if you asked them, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they would surely say: ” Allah”. Say:
“Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah ? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of
His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?”. Say: “Sufficient for me is Allah ;
upon Him (alone) rely the (wise)reliers”(38) Az-Zumar

So we believe with a deep and sharp conviction that lordship and all the features and actions and qualities
related to it are solely and exclusively reserved to almighty Allah Alone. That implies that we accept our
destiny and go on in our path no matter what may happen, since almighty Allah has predestined everything
that may happen to us and to anything in the universe since the genesis.
We believe also that almighty Allah is the creator of the deed of people as it is known in the creed(Aqeedah)
of “Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah” and like imam Al-Bukhari has clarified in his book “The Creation of The
Deeds of People” . and almighty Allah said in Qur’an:

‫ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟزﻣر‬62)‫ﷲ ُ َﺧﺎﻟ ُِق ُﻛ ﱢل َﺷﻲْ ٍء َوھ َُو َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛ ﱢل َﺷﻲْ ٍء َوﻛِﯾ ٌل‬
Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is over all things the( Wakil) Disposer of affairs(62) Az-Zumar

And as narrated Huzaifa Ibnu-Saheel(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu):

‫ إِنﱠ ﱠ‬:‫ﻋن ﺣذﯾﻔﺔ اﺑن ﺳﺣﯾل رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮫ ﻣرﻓوﻋﺎ ً أن رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ و ﺳﻠم ﻗﺎل‬
‫ رواه‬... ‫ﺻ ْﻧ َﻌﺗﮫ‬
َ ‫ﺻﺎﻧِﻊ َو‬
َ ّ ‫ﺻ َﻧ َﻊ)ﺻﻧﻊ( ُﻛل‬
َ ‫ﷲ‬
"‫اﻟﺑﺧﺎري ﻓﻲ "ﺧﻠق أﻓﻌﺎل اﻟﻌﺑﺎد‬

-2) Unifiying Allah in Godship

Unifying almighty Allah in Divinity(as a God), in Arabic “Tawheed Al-Uluhiyyah”, means to have the deep and
sharp conviction that He is the only “God” and the only one Who has the right to be worshipped, and to
head only and exclusively towards Him in all kinds of worship(intent and demand).
So we believe deeply and sharply in Allah as the only “God” Who has the right to be worshipped and we
head only towards Allah in all our requests, intentions and rituals, in a Submission based on the fear of His
punishment and the hope in His mercy, as He had ordered, and as it was shown by His Messenger(Salla
Allahu ‘alayhe was allam). Since the Muslim is the one who submits to almighty Allah in all the aspects of his
life:

ُ ْ‫ﯾك ﻟَ ُﮫ َو ِﺑ َذﻟ َِك أُﻣِر‬
(163)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ت َوأَ َﻧﺎ أَ ﱠو ُل ْاﻟﻣُﺳْ ﻠِﻣ‬
َ ‫( َﺷ ِر‬162)‫ﺎي َو َﻣ َﻣﺎﺗِﻲ ِ ﱠ ِ َربﱢ ْاﻟ َﻌﺎﻟَﻣِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺻﻼﺗِﻲ َو ُﻧ ُﺳﻛِﻲ َو َﻣﺣْ َﯾ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل إِنﱠ‬
‫اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬

َ ‫…… َو َﻣﺎ آ َﺗﺎ ُﻛ ُم اﻟرﱠ ﺳُو ُل َﻓ ُﺧ ُذوهُ َو َﻣﺎ َﻧ َﮭﺎ ُﻛ ْم َﻋ ْﻧ ُﮫ َﻓﺎ ْﻧ َﺗﮭُوا َوا ﱠﺗﻘُوا ﱠ‬.
………And whatever the Messenger brings you(allows you), then take it; and whatever he forbids you, abstain
(from doing it). And have piety with Allah; surely Allah is severe in punishment(07) Al-Hashr

‫ﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲ ُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ِﮫ َو َﺳﻠﱠ َم َﻣ ْوﻋِ َظ ًﺔ‬
َ ِ‫ َو َﻋ َظﻧﺎ َرﺳُو ُل ﷲ‬:‫ﻋن أﺑﻲ ﻧﺟﯾﺢ اﻟﻌرﺑﺎض ﺑن ﺳﺎرﯾﺔ رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ ﻋﻧﮫ ﻗﺎل‬
ْ ‫ َو َذ َر َﻓ‬، ُ‫ت ِﻣ ْﻧﮭﺎ اﻟﻘُﻠوب‬
ْ َ‫َو ِﺟﻠ‬
‫ أُوﺻِ ﯾ ُﻛ ْم ِﺑ َﺗ ْﻘ َوى‬:‫ ﻗﺎ َل‬.‫ َﻛﺄ ﱠﻧﮭﺎ َﻣ ْوﻋِ َظ ُﺔ ﻣُو ﱢد ٍع َﻓﺄ َ ْوﺻِ ﻧﺎ‬،‫ﷲ‬
ِ ‫ ﯾﺎ رﺳو َل‬:‫ َﻓﻘُ ْﻠﻧﺎ‬, ُ‫ت ِﻣ ْﻧﮭﺎ اﻟ ُﻌﯾُون‬
‫ َواﻟﺳﱠﻣْﻊ َو ﱠ‬،‫ﷲ َﻋ ﱠز َو َﺟلﱠ‬
ْ ‫ َﻓﺈِ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ َﻣنْ َﯾﻌِشْ ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َﻓ َﺳ َﯾ َرى‬، ‫ َوإِنْ َﺗﺄَﻣ َﱠر َﻋﻠَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم َﻋ ْﺑ ٌد َﺣﺑَﺷِ ﻲﱞ‬،ِ‫ﺎﻋﺔ‬
‫ َﻓ َﻌﻠَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ْم‬,‫اﺧ ِﺗﻼَ ًﻓﺎ َﻛ ِﺛﯾرً ا‬
َ ‫اﻟط‬

‫ت اﻷﻣُور؛ َﻓﺈِنﱠ ُﻛ ﱠل‬

َ ‫ِﯾن اﻟ َﻣ ْﮭ ِدﯾ‬
َ ‫ِﺑ ُﺳ ﱠﻧﺗِﻲ َو ُﺳ ﱠﻧ ِﺔ اﻟ ُﺧﻠَ َﻔﺎ ِء اﻟرﱠ اﺷِ د‬
‫ رواه أﺑو داود واﻟﺗرﻣذي‬.‫ﺿﻼَﻟَ ٌﺔ‬
َ ‫ َو ُﻛ ﱠل ِﺑ ْد َﻋ ٍﺔ‬,‫ﻣُﺣْ دَ َﺛ ٍﺔ ِﺑ ْد َﻋ ٌﺔ‬
Abu Najeeh Al-Irbadh Ibnu- Saariyah(Radhiya Allahu ‘anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allhu
‘alayhe wa Sallam) delivered an admonition that made our hearts fearful and our eyes tearful. We said, "O
Messenger of Allah, it is as if this were a farewell sermon, so advise us. He said: I enjoin you to have Taqwa
(piety) of Allah and that you listen and obey, even if an Ethiopian slave is made a ruler over you. who lives
long enough among you will see many differences. So observe my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly42

principled and rightly-guided successors, holding on to them with your molar teeth. and Beware of newlyintroduced matters, surely every newly introduced(matter) is an innovation(Bid’ah) and every innovation
(bid'ah) is a straying. Reported by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi (Hassan Saheeh)

And as we have said previously, unifying almighty Allah in worship is to unify Him in Mastery, judgment
(Ruling) and cult rituals:

-a) Unifying Allah in Mastery

In Arabic: Tawheed Allah Fil-Wala’e

Almighty Allah said:

ً ‫ﷲ أَ ْﻧ‬
‫ِﯾن َظﻠَﻣُوا إِ ْذ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا أَ َﺷ ﱡد ُﺣ ًّﺑﺎ ِ ﱠ ِ َوﻟَ ْو َﯾ َرى اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ﷲ َواﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫دَادا ُﯾ ِﺣﺑﱡو َﻧ ُﮭ ْم َﻛﺣُبﱢ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﺎس َﻣنْ َﯾ ﱠﺗﺧ ُِذ ﻣِنْ ُد‬
ِ ‫َوﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬165)‫ب‬
ِ ‫ﷲ َﺷدِﯾ ُد ْاﻟ َﻌ َذا‬
َ ‫َﯾ َر ْو َن ْاﻟ َﻌ َذ‬
َ ‫اب أَنﱠ ْاﻟﻘُ ﱠو َة ِ ﱠ ِ َﺟ ِﻣﯾﻌً ﺎ َوأَنﱠ ﱠ‬
And of mankind are some who take others besides Allah as rivals(equals to Allah). They love them as they
should love Allah. But those who believe, are stronger in their love to Allah (than anything else). and If only,
the unfair(polytheists) could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allah and that
Allah is Severe in punishment(165) Al-Baqarah

‫ِﯾن َﻛ َﻔرُ وا أَ ْوﻟِ َﯾﺎؤُ ُھ ُم ﱠ‬
‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا ﯾ ُْﺧرﺟُ ُﮭ ْم ﻣ َِن ﱡ‬
‫ﱠ‬
ُ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏ‬
‫ور إِﻟَﻰ‬
ِ ‫اﻟظﻠُ َﻣﺎ‬
َ ‫ور َواﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َوﻟِﻲﱡ اﻟﱠذ‬
ِ ‫وت ﯾ ُْﺧ ِر ُﺟو َﻧ ُﮭ ْم ﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱡﻧ‬
ِ ‫ت إِﻟَﻰ اﻟ ﱡﻧ‬
ِ
َ َ ‫ت أُوﻟَ ِﺋ‬
‫ﱡ‬
‫( اﻟﺑﻘرة‬257)‫ون‬
ِ ‫اﻟظﻠُ َﻣﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺎر ُھ ْم ﻓِﯾ َﮭﺎ َﺧﺎ ِﻟ ُد‬
ِ ‫ك أﺻْ َﺣﺎبُ اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
Allah is the Master(Protector ,supporter) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light.
And those who disbelieve, their masters(supporters and helpers) are the Taghut(false deities,leaders…) they
bring them out from light into darkness. Those are the dwellers of the Fire, and they will abide therein
forever(257) Al-Baqarah

ُ ْ‫ض َوھ َُو ﯾ ُْط ِﻌ ُم َوﻻ ﯾ ُْط َﻌ ُم ﻗُ ْل إِ ﱢﻧﻲ أُﻣِر‬
‫ون أَ ﱠو َل َﻣنْ أَﺳْ ﻠَ َم َوﻻ‬
ِ ‫ﷲ أَ ﱠﺗﺧ ُِذ َوﻟِ ًّﯾﺎ َﻓﺎطِ ِر اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َﺎوا‬
َ ‫ت أَنْ أَ ُﻛ‬
ِ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﻏﯾ َْر ﱠ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َواﻷر‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬14)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟ ُﻣ ْﺷ ِرﻛ‬

Say: Shall I take as a Master other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And He feeds but is
not fed. Say: Verily, I was ordered to be the first of those who submit themselves(to Allah). And do not be of
the polytheists(14) Al-An’am

‫إِنﱠ َوﻟِﯾ َﱢﻲ ﱠ‬
‫( اﻷﻋراف‬196)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺎب َوھ َُو َﯾ َﺗ َوﻟﱠﻰ اﻟﺻﱠﺎﻟِﺣ‬
َ ‫ﷲُ اﻟﱠذِي ﻧز َل ْاﻟ ِﻛ َﺗ‬
Indeed, my Master is Allah, who has sent down the Book; and He protects(supports and helps) the
righteous(196) Al-A’raf

The origin of worship is the love of almighty Allah and unifying Him by love and devoting Him the full love.
So we do not love anything with Him or like Him, but we love others in Him and for Him. As we love His
angels, prophets and books, our love for them is the result of our love for Allah, not in parallel with the love
of Allah like those who take equals to Him, they love them as they love Allah or even more.
From the love arises the voluntary submission and following and to be constantly in the availability of his
beloved, and to love those who love him and hate those who hate him, then the beloved becomes the
master of the one who loves him, with his own will and consent.
So we unify almighty Allah in His Mastery by devoting our love only to Him, and by submitting only to Him
and following His commands and obeying to them with full humility and docility, and by loving those who
love and submit to Him, and by hating those who hate Him or love and submit to other than Him.
That means also that we do never accept any Master, tutor, leader, ruler or else unless he is submitted to
Allah(a Muslim), cause in this case obeying to him is a part from obeying to Allah and submitting to Him, as
almighty Allah said:

‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬59).......‫ﷲ َوأَطِ ﯾﻌُوا اﻟرﱠ ﺳُو َل َوأُوﻟِﻲ اﻷﻣْ ِر ِﻣ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم‬
َ ‫َﯾﺎ أَ ﱡﯾ َﮭﺎ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن آ َﻣ ُﻧوا أَطِ ﯾﻌُوا ﱠ‬
O you who have believed, Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and those of you(Muslims) who are in
authority….(59) An-Nissa

And His Messenger Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam said:

‫ﺻﺎﻧِﻲ‬
َ ‫ َو َﻣنْ َﻋ‬،‫ﷲ‬
َ ‫ﺎﻋﻧِﻲ َﻓ َﻘ ْد أَ َط‬
َ ‫ َﻣنْ أَ َط‬:‫ﻋن أﺑﻲ ھرﯾرة رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻧﮫ أن رﺳول ﷲ ﺻﻠﻰ ﷲ ﻋﻠﯾﮫ وﺳﻠم ﻗﺎل‬
َ ‫ﺎع ﱠ‬
َ َ ‫ َو َﻣنْ َﻋ‬،‫ﺎﻋﻧِﻲ‬
َ َ ‫ َو َﻣنْ أَ َط‬،‫ﷲ‬
‫ رواه اﻟﺑﺧﺎري و ﻣﺳﻠم‬.‫ﺻﺎﻧِﻲ‬
َ ‫ِﯾري َﻓ َﻘ ْد َﻋ‬
َ ‫ِﯾري َﻓ َﻘ ْد أَ َط‬
َ ‫َﻓ َﻘ ْد َﻋ‬
َ ‫ﺻﻰ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﺻﻰ أﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﺎع أﻣ‬

Abu Hurayrah(Radhiya Allahu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allhu ‘alayhe wa sallam)said:
Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah and Whoever disobeys me has indeed disobeyed Allah, and
whoever obeys my Amir has indeed obeyed me and whoever disobeys my Amir has indeed disobeyed me.
Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

And we do never affiliate to any kind of affiliations to which affiliate people, and never have any ties or links
with people except the link of the love of Allah and the submission to Him.

-b) Unifying Allah in the Judgement (Ruling)

In Arabic: Tawhid Allah Fil-Hukm

Almighty Allah said:

‫ون أَنْ َﯾ َﺗ َﺣﺎ َﻛﻣُوا إِﻟَﻰ ﱠ‬
‫ت َو َﻗ ْد‬
ِ ‫اﻟطﺎ ُﻏو‬
َ ‫ْك َو َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل ﻣِنْ َﻗ ْﺑﻠ َِك ﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد‬
َ ‫ُون أَ ﱠﻧ ُﮭ ْم آ َﻣ ُﻧوا ِﺑ َﻣﺎ أ ُ ْﻧ ِز َل إِﻟَﯾ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َﯾ ْز ُﻋﻣ‬
َ ‫أَﻟَ ْم َﺗ َر إِﻟَﻰ اﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫أُﻣِرُ وا أَنْ َﯾ ْﻛﻔُرُ وا ِﺑ ِﮫ َوﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد اﻟ ﱠﺷﯾ‬
ً ‫ﺿ َﻼ ًﻻ َﺑﻌ‬
‫( اﻟﻧﺳﺎء‬60)‫ِﯾدا‬
َ ‫ْطﺎنُ أَنْ ﯾُﺿِ ﻠﱠ ُﮭ ْم‬
Have you not seen those(hypocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you,
and that which was sent down before you, they want to (go)ask the judgement of the Taghut while they
have been ordered to disbelieve in it. But Shaitan(Satan) wants to lead them far astray(60) An-Nissa

‫ض َﻣﺎ أَﻧز َل ﱠ‬
‫َوأَ ِن اﺣْ ُﻛ ْم َﺑ ْﯾ َﻧ ُﮭ ْم ِﺑ َﻣﺎ أَﻧز َل ﱠ‬
‫ك َﻓﺈِنْ َﺗ َوﻟﱠ ْوا َﻓﺎﻋْ ﻠَ ْم‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ إِﻟَ ْﯾ‬
َ ‫ﷲُ َوﻻ َﺗ ﱠﺗ ِﺑﻊْ أَھْ َوا َء ُھ ْم َواﺣْ َذرْ ُھ ْم أَنْ َﯾ ْﻔﺗِ ُﻧو‬
ِ ْ‫ك َﻋنْ َﺑﻌ‬
‫أَ ﱠﻧ َﻣﺎ ﯾ ُِرﯾ ُد ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬49)‫ون‬
َ ُ‫ﺎس ﻟَ َﻔﺎﺳِ ﻘ‬
ِ ْ‫ﷲُ أَنْ ﯾُﺻِ ﯾ َﺑ ُﮭ ْم ِﺑ َﺑﻌ‬
ِ ‫وﺑ ِﮭ ْم َوإِنﱠ َﻛﺛِﯾرً ا ﻣ َِن اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
ِ ‫ض ُذ ُﻧ‬
And so judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their vain desires, and beware
of them lest they turn you away from some of what Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then
know that Allah wants to punish them for some of their sins. And truly, so many of men are immoral
(disobedients)(49) Al-Maidah

َ ‫ون ِﺑ ِﮫ إِ ِن ْاﻟﺣُ ْﻛ ُم إِ ﱠﻻ ِ ﱠ ِ َﯾﻘُصﱡ ْاﻟ َﺣ ﱠق َوھ َُو َﺧ ْﯾ ُر ْاﻟ َﻔﺎﺻِ ﻠ‬
َ ُ‫ﻗُ ْل إِ ﱢﻧﻲ َﻋﻠَﻰ َﺑ ﱢﯾ َﻧ ٍﺔ ﻣِنْ َرﺑﱢﻲ َو َﻛ ﱠذ ْﺑ ُﺗ ْم ِﺑ ِﮫ َﻣﺎ ﻋِ ْﻧدِي َﻣﺎ َﺗﺳْ َﺗﻌْ ِﺟﻠ‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬57)
Say, “Indeed, I am on a clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which
you are impatient(torment). Surely, the judgment is only for Allah, he sentences by justice(gives verdict)
and He is the best of the deciders(57) Al-An’am

‫ﱢك‬
َ ‫ُون أَ ﱠﻧ ُﮫ ُﻣ َﻧ ﱠز ٌل ﻣِنْ َرﺑ‬
َ ‫ﺎب َﯾﻌْ ﻠَﻣ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن آ َﺗ ْﯾ َﻧﺎ ُھ ُم ْاﻟ ِﻛ َﺗ‬
َ ‫ﺎب ُﻣ َﻔﺻ ًﱠﻼ َواﻟﱠذ‬
َ ‫ﷲ أَ ْﺑ َﺗﻐِﻲ َﺣ َﻛﻣًﺎ َوھ َُو اﻟﱠذِي أَ ْﻧ َز َل إِﻟَ ْﯾ ُﻛ ُم ْاﻟ ِﻛ َﺗ‬
ِ ‫أَ َﻓ َﻐﯾ َْر ﱠ‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬114)‫ﯾن‬
َ ‫ِﺑ ْﺎﻟ َﺣ ﱢق َﻓ َﻼ َﺗ ُﻛو َﻧنﱠ ﻣ َِن ْاﻟﻣُﻣْ َﺗ ِر‬
Is it other than Allah that I should seek as a judge, while it is Him who has sent down to you the Book
explained in detail? And those to whom We (previously)gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from
your Lord in truth(truly), so never be among the doubters(114) Al-An’am

‫ون ﻣِنْ ُدوﻧِ ِﮫ إِ ﱠﻻ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ًء َﺳ ﱠﻣ ْﯾ ُﺗﻣُو َھﺎ أَ ْﻧ ُﺗ ْم َوآ َﺑﺎؤُ ُﻛ ْم َﻣﺎ أَ ْﻧ َز َل ﱠ‬
‫ﺎن إِ ِن ْاﻟﺣُ ْﻛ ُم إِ ﱠﻻ ِ ﱠ ِ أَ َﻣ َر أَ ﱠﻻ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُدوا‬
َ ‫َﻣﺎ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ٍ ‫ﷲ ُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ ﻣِنْ ﺳ ُْﻠ َط‬
‫( ﯾوﺳف‬40)‫ُون‬
َ ‫ﺎس َﻻ َﯾﻌْ ﻠَﻣ‬
ِ ‫إِ ﱠﻻ إِﯾﱠﺎهُ َذﻟ َِك اﻟ ﱢدﯾنُ ْاﻟ َﻘ ﱢﯾ ُم َوﻟَﻛِنﱠ أَ ْﻛ َﺛ َر اﻟ ﱠﻧ‬
You do not worship besides Him except only names which you have named(forged) you and your fathers,
for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command(or the judgement) is for none except Allah. He
has ordered that you worship none except Him, that is the (true)straight religion, but most (of mankind do
not know(40) yussuf

It is almighty Allah Who had created us and the whole universe, and it is Him who owns and manages
everything in it, and none of all these cannot work or act except according to the laws that almighty Allah
imposed and prescribed to them, with a total submission and without discussion.
However He left to the humans and to the Djinns the choice to obey to His laws or not, while showing them
the way and the rules they must follow if they want happiness in this world and salvation in the beyond,
which passes through the submission to His laws in everything, and which includes leaving and avoiding a lot
of the pleasures and enjoyments of this down life. And warning them that if they do not follow them, they
will suffer the harm and misfortune in this down life, and the eternal torment in hell in the afterlife.
And the Muslim who submits to his Lord like all the creatures in the universe, must submit and comply only
with the laws of Allah with all consent, dedication, devotion, humility and docility.
So we unify almighty Allah in His ruling and judgment by submitting only and exclusively to His law. And we
never judge or accept or promise to respect or to not overstep any other kind of laws or judgments, and
never involve ourselves in their practice and application by anyway. And we never ask the judgment of any

court or any authority or organism that judges by other than the law of Allah, and never accept any judge or
referee unless he is a Muslim and judges only by Allah’s laws.
And even if one of us is taken by force to the court of Taghut, he do not tell them anything concerning the
case in which they want to judge him or in which they need his testimonial, because it would give them the
raw material they need to exercise their idolatry(judgment). And we do not even defend ourselves in their
court, because defending himself in their court is to ask their judgment for himself, which is asking the
judgment of other than Allah (Tahakum) and we know that almighty Allah do not forgive it and do not
accept any kind of excuse to do it(Shirk) not even the killing. So we just keep quiet and accept the destiny of
Allah and submit to His decision, as long as we know that nothing will happen to us except that what
almighty Allah has predestined for us .
And we never use any service or sign any contract in which it is imposed to respect or to submit to other
than Allah’s law, or to promise to not violate them whatever it costs. Especially that the whole system of life
nowadays is built on the submission to the human-made laws, and it is asked to accept and respect them in
almost all kinds the transactions, deals, contracts and services, this pretended civilisation in reality is a bit
sophisticated but a pure ignorance“Jahiliyyah”(paganism) :

‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬50)‫ون‬
َ ‫ﷲ ﺣُ ْﻛﻣًﺎ ﻟِ َﻘ ْو ٍم ﯾُو ِﻗ ُﻧ‬
ِ ‫ون َو َﻣنْ أَﺣْ َﺳنُ ﻣ َِن ﱠ‬
َ ‫أَ َﻓﺣُ ْﻛ َم ْاﻟ َﺟﺎ ِھﻠِ ﱠﯾ ِﺔ َﯾ ْﺑ ُﻐ‬
Then is it the judgement of ignorance(Jahiliyyah) they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for
a people who are certain(in faith)(50) Al-Maidah

And in all the fields of our lives, we seek only the judgment of Allah, and if we find it we hold to it firmly
without considering what other people may say, because ignoring the judgment of Allah and seeking
another is a greater Shirk that almighty Allah doesn’t forgive, and who do it will burn eternally in hell, may
Allah preserve us. Because the words and the judgments of Allah are not refutable, contrariwise to those of
people which are taken or left according to evidence and conviction.

We submit only and exclusively to the judgment of the only judge”Allah”, that none may oppose or adjust
or reverse His judgment:

‫ﺻ َﮭﺎ ﻣِنْ أَ ْط َرا ِﻓ َﮭﺎ َو ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟرﻋد‬41)‫ب‬
ُ ُ‫ض َﻧ ْﻧﻘ‬
ِ ‫ب ﻟِﺣُ ْﻛ ِﻣ ِﮫ َوھ َُو َﺳ ِرﯾﻊُ ْاﻟﺣ َِﺳﺎ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ُ َﯾﺣْ ُﻛ ُم َﻻ ُﻣ َﻌ ﱢﻘ‬
َ ْ‫أَ َوﻟَ ْم َﯾ َر ْوا أَ ﱠﻧﺎ َﻧﺄْﺗِﻲ ْاﻷَر‬
have they not seen that We come up to the earth diminishing it in its extremities? And Allah judges; there
is no adjuster of His judgment. And He is swift in account(41) Ar-Ra’d

-c) Unifying Allah in the Cult Rituals

In Arabic: Tawheed Allah Fi An-Nussuk

Almighty Allah said:

‫ﺿ ًّرا َو َﻻ َﻧ ْﻔﻌًﺎ َو ﱠ‬
‫( اﻟﻣﺎءدة‬76)‫ﷲُ ھ َُو اﻟ ﱠﺳﻣِﯾ ُﻊ ْاﻟ َﻌﻠِﯾ ُم‬
ُ ِ‫ﷲ َﻣﺎ َﻻ َﯾﻣْ ﻠ‬
َ ‫ك ﻟَ ُﻛ ْم‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل أَ َﺗﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
Say: Do you worship, apart from Allah, that which possesses for you neither harm nor profit, and it is Allah
Who is the All-Hearer, All-Knower(76) Al-Maidah

ُ ْ‫ك ﻟَ ُﮫ َو ِﺑ َذﻟ َِك أُﻣِر‬
‫ت َوأَ َﻧﺎ أَ ﱠو ُل‬
َ ‫( َﻻ َﺷ ِرﯾ‬162)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ﺎي َو َﻣ َﻣﺎﺗِﻲ ِ ﱠ ِ َربﱢ ْاﻟ َﻌﺎﻟَﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺻ َﻼﺗِﻲ َو ُﻧ ُﺳﻛِﻲ َو َﻣﺣْ َﯾ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ْل إِنﱠ‬
‫( اﻷﻧﻌﺎم‬163)‫ِﯾن‬
َ ‫ْاﻟﻣُﺳْ ِﻠﻣ‬
Say: Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds(162) He
has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who submit(themselves)
(163) Al-An’am

‫ون ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ون َھؤُ َﻻ ِء‬
‫ﷲَ ِﺑ َﻣﺎ َﻻ َﯾﻌْ ﻠَ ُم ﻓِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﷲ ﻗُ ْل أَ ُﺗ َﻧ ﱢﺑ ُﺋ‬
ِ ‫ﺷ َﻔ َﻌﺎؤُ َﻧﺎ ﻋِ ْﻧ َد ﱠ‬
َ ُ‫ﷲ َﻣﺎ َﻻ َﯾﺿُرﱡ ُھ ْم َو َﻻ َﯾ ْﻧ َﻔ ُﻌ ُﮭ ْم َو َﯾﻘُوﻟ‬
ِ ‫ون ﱠ‬
َ ‫َو َﯾﻌْ ُﺑ ُد‬
ِ ‫ون ﻣِنْ ُد‬
‫( ﯾوﻧس‬18)‫ون‬
ِ ‫اﻟ ﱠﺳ َﻣ َﺎوا‬
َ ‫ض ُﺳﺑ َْﺣﺎ َﻧ ُﮫ َو َﺗ َﻌﺎﻟَﻰ َﻋﻣﱠﺎ ُﯾ ْﺷ ِر ُﻛ‬
ِ ْ‫ت َو َﻻ ﻓِﻲ ْاﻷَر‬
And they worship, apart from Allah, what neither harms them nor profits them; and they say: These are our
intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you really inform Allah of what He does not know (either) in the heavens or
in the earth?. Exalted is He and high above what they associate(with Him)(18) Yunus

ً ‫ف اﻟﺿﱡرﱢ َﻋ ْﻧ ُﻛ ْم َو َﻻ َﺗﺣْ ِو‬
‫( اﻹﺳراء‬56)‫ﯾﻼ‬
َ ‫ون َﻛ ْﺷ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن َز َﻋﻣْ ُﺗ ْم ﻣِنْ ُدو ِﻧ ِﮫ َﻓ َﻼ َﯾﻣْ ﻠِ ُﻛ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ِل ْادﻋُوا اﻟﱠذ‬
Say: Call unto those besides Him whom you pretend(to be gods). They have neither the power to remove
the harm from you, nor (its)transference(56) Al-Isra’e

We devote all our worships and cult rituals to Allah alone, as He has commanded and as had showed,
explained and detailed His Messenger(Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), seeking His satisfaction and hoping
His mercy and forgiveness and the salvation of ourselves the day of judgment.
So we head only and exclusively towards Allah in our worships, whatever it was: prayer, Zakat,Sawm, Haj,
sacrifices, Jihad, or else. No matter if they were obligatory or supererogatory in a total devotion, and
without any association(polytheism) or ostentation.
And we devote only and exclusively to Allah, also in all our worships of heart like relying upon Him
(Tawakkul), ask for help(istighatha), asking sustenance or fear and hope. And we believe that almighty Allah
is the only one Who has the power to harm or to profit(us).
And we never take an intermediary between us and almighty Allah, and we never ask the intercession of a
dead not even the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ‘alayhe wa sallam), and we never fear anyone or
anything by absence(bil-ghayb) except almighty Allah.

-3) Unifying Allah in His Names and Attributes

Almighty Allah said:

‫( اﻷﻋراف‬180)‫ون‬
َ ُ ‫ون ﻓِﻲ أَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ِﺋ ِﮫ َﺳﯾُﺟْ َز ْو َن َﻣﺎ َﻛﺎ ُﻧوا َﯾﻌْ َﻣﻠ‬
َ ‫ِﯾن ﯾ ُْﻠ ِﺣ ُد‬
َ ‫َو ِ ﱠ ِ ْاﻷَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُﺳْ َﻧﻰ َﻓ ْﺎدﻋُوهُ ِﺑ َﮭﺎ َو َذرُ وا اﻟﱠذ‬
And to Allah belong the Most Beautiful Names, so invoke Him by them. And leave(the company of)those
who blaspheme(belie, deny) about His names. They will be recompensed for what they were doing(180) AlA’raf

ْ ‫ك َو َﻻ ُﺗ َﺧﺎﻓ‬
‫ِت ِﺑ َﮭﺎ َوا ْﺑ َﺗ ِﻎ َﺑﯾ َْن‬
َ ‫ﺻ َﻼ ِﺗ‬
َ ‫ﷲ أَ ِو ْادﻋُوا اﻟرﱠ ﺣْ َﻣ َن أَ ًّﯾﺎ َﻣﺎ َﺗ ْدﻋُوا َﻓﻠَ ُﮫ ْاﻷَﺳْ َﻣﺎ ُء ْاﻟﺣُ ﺳْ َﻧﻰ َو َﻻ َﺗﺟْ َﮭرْ ِﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻗُ ِل ْادﻋُوا ﱠ‬
ً ‫َذﻟ َِك َﺳ ِﺑ‬
‫( اﻹﺳراء‬110)‫ﯾﻼ‬
Say, “Call upon Allah or call upon the most-Gracious. Whichever(Name) you call , to Him belong the best
Names.” And do not recite (too)loudly in your prayer or (too)quietly, but seek between that an
(intermediate)way(110) Al-Isra
