Awarded the CRT
(Technical Resource Centre) label
ALUTEC has held the Technological Resource Centre (CRT)
label, awarded by the French Ministry
of Higher Education and Research, since 2012.
This label is in acknowledgement of the work ALUTEC
has done for companies in the support to development
and innovation field, especially for the optics industry.
For this reason, ALUTEC’s services are eligible
for Research Tax Credit.

ALUTEC, thanks to its technical skills,
its integrity, its management system
and its COFRAC certification,
has been a notified body since
December 2007, with identification
number 2009, by order of the
employment and agriculture ministries,
as testing laboratory responsible
for issuing EC Examination Certificates
for Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
for the eyes and face.

Unique services
for the optics-eye wear sector
ALUTEC is the only body in France that provides manufacturers, importers,
opticians with support in development and an EC conformity checking
service for all optics-eye wear products (ophthalmic and sun lenses,
ophthalmic glasses, sunglasses and also ski masks, motorcycle and moped
visors, protective glasses, welding screens and other industrial eye
and face protection equipment) in accordance with the applicable standards
and directives.
ALUTEC has the capability to perform the measurements on photochromic
and polarised filters, measurements on corrective lenses
and other measurements set out in the EC conformity regulations.
ALUTEC is the only French laboratory with the capability to perform the optional
personal protection equipment tests such as protection against molten metal
and hot solids, protection against gases and fine dust particles.
ALUTEC offers a wide range of quality tests and has created, along with
manufacturers, a specific specifications booklet enabling them to improve
the quality of their products, with tests testing organic and galvanic coatings
such as resistance to wear, to corrosion, metallographic cuts, adherence, etc.
ALUTEC has the capability to compile the electronic catalogues of your optical
frames and sunglasses: image acquisition and measurements, shape sensing, ...
in accordance with ISO reference 10685.

(wear simulation test and nickel release test)
ISO 10685-1, -2 and -3
(Electronic Frames and Sunglasses catalogues)
Every year,r ALUTEC sits on Standardisation
Committees worldwide and develops standards by
testing the standardised test procedures and the
associated requirements so that the products
put on the market adhere to the basic health and
safety requirements set out in the European
Directives for Medical Devices, Personal
Protective Equipment
and the REACH Regulation.
