Smart and effective public procurement for cross-border TEN-T projects

Workshop in the framework of the Impact Assessment for a Commission proposal on Streamlining
Measures for a Swifter Implementation of the Projects of Common Interest on the Trans European
Transport Network

15/06/2017, 14:15 Venue: CCAB-3D, Brussels

This workshop will be the first one of a series of three workshops to be carried out as part of the
consultation strategy of the impact assessment for the initiative on streamlining measures for swifter
implementation of the projects of common interest on the Trans European Transport Network (the
permitting initiative).
The first workshop is planned to address key issues in the procurement of the cross-border elements
of the TEN-T projects of common interest, the innovations brought by the new procurement
directives as well as outstanding problems and solutions to them. The workshop will be organised in
the margin of the TEN-T Corridor meeting week (15 June 2017), to ensure the maximum possible
attendance from relevant stakeholders.
It will be followed by a second workshop focused on funding and governance issues organised in
Tallinn in September 2017 in the margin of the Connecting Europe Conference. The third workshop
will be devoted to environmental assessment, permitting and public consultations in October 2017.
