Dear Presidents, Deans and Heads of Departments of Universities
and Scientific Institutions all around the Globe,
Hellenic Culture is timeless and much more than this, it constitutes a milestone for
Philosophy and sciences.
Hellenic Culture’s worldview throughout the centuries resulted into humanity’s highest
human values and achievements such as the foundation of values like Democracy,
Philosophy, Arts and highest level of Education.
That’s the objective of our effort through this Educational Summer Forum, being
promoted to International students and elder individuals from all around the world.
The Neurosciences & Learning Laboratory of the University of Athens - Greece and
the ΩMEGA College of higher education are offering top quality educational &
entertainment super-intensive summer programs (edutainment), combining highest
educational standards and touristic activities in beautiful Greece and the
Mediterranean scenery. Furthermore, participants are getting University level credit
units towards the completion of their degrees.
Youngsters and students over 17 years old, as well as elders - citizens of the world who
are interested in Greek Philosophy, Olympic Games in ancient Greece and the
subsequent ideals, Art and Culture, the Byzantine culture and Orthodoxy, Tradition and
Faith, are eligible to participate in the following academic programs / modules:

• Ancient Greek Philosophy and Culture (MODULE -1)
•Byzantium and Orthodoxy (MODULE -2)
Program’s duration is 15 days and the following will be provided and included:

Top quality lectures by University level instructors, accommodation, part of daily
meals, transfers & activities costs, as well as sightseeing cost in Historic center of
Athens, the Posidon Temple in Cape Sounion, free guided tours in Olympia and its
museum, the ancient theater of Epidaurus, etc.
During the afternoon and evening hours, group activities such as night camp astronomy, mythology and Greek folk dances are going to take place.
In each individual educational program lasting 15 days, the following are included:
• 2 different academic modules
• 44 educational hours
• 16 hours of lectures from leading instructors and academics
• 26 workshops and special educational events
• Studies Certification of attendance with the bonus of internationally recognized
credits (10 credits) towards the completion of a degree of highest education.
• Scientific approach and University level Methodology.
Further details of each program includes the following topics:

1. ANCIENT GREEK PHILOSOPHY AND CULTURE
The role of “Ancient Greek Thought” as being shaped by Ancient Greek philosophy and
art, having to deal with “collective or personal crisis” in successful business practice
and ability to survive. The role of “human values” and “Greek language” in each
individual’s personal growth.

ABOUT US
-NATIONAL AND KAPODISTRIAN UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS (est. 1837)
1. Laboratory "Biophysical Environment, Neurosciences and Learning" of
the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens,
2. Faculty of Theology
The laboratory is managed by Prof. M. Tzani, who is the responsible Head - Academic
individual of the offered programs. Among the objectives of the above laboratory
activity, she has put the development of philosophy in the context of neuroscience
research combining the impact of new technologies.

-ΩMEGA COLLEGE
The ΩMEGA College of higher education was founded by George Siotropos in 1969, a
talented individual with a strong background in Economics and Educational /
Philosophy practices. After being Aristotle Onassis’s key advisor in Olympic Airways
global development, he came up with the idea of founding an innovative educational
organization that has the mission to train young people with professional knowledge
and skills similar to those required in the real technical labor era.

PROGRAM’S ACADEMIC CORDINATORS
Prof. Maria Tzani is Emeritus Professor at the National University of Athens where
she serves as one of the main Instructors (Department of Education). Also, she is the
director of the Laboratory "Biophysical Environment: Neurosciences & Learning" and
responsible of the Postgraduate direction "Sociobiology, Neurosciences & Education".
With extensive research, teaching and social work is well known to the general public
for her sensitivity to ethnic issues, culture and education. Author of several works, has
dedicated her life to the promotion of those values that humanize man and make him
able to coexist with others, to fight for those ideals that although appeared in Greece,
are universal values for all mankind. Among other things, Ms. Tzani mission was led to
restore the teaching of ancient Greek in Secondary Education. Ms. Tzani served as a
member of the World Committee for the Olympic Idea, based in Olympia, the Greek

Pedagogical Association, the World Organization for the Protection of Orthodoxy and
the Greek Institute of Education. She was the President of the National Committee of
the Program "Child and Peace" of the relevant World Organization and President of the
World Amphictyony Ecumenical Hellenism. By decision of the City Council of Delphi
she was appointed as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee for Education and
Culture issues Municipality of Delphi and was awarded the modeling and
implementation of reviving the Delphic Idea.
Dr. Ioannis Panagiotopoulos was born in Athens on the 9th of May 1970.
Having graduated from the Faculty of Theology of the University of Athens at
1993, he was granted the postgraduate degree of the University of Durham at
1997. A year later (1998) he received another postgraduate degree from the
University of Athens, Faculty of Theology. In the year 2002 he was nominated a
Theology Doctor of the University of Athens.
His major academic interest and research lies within the area of General Church
History. He served as a teacher in Public (2007-2010) and Private (1999-2004)
Schools of the Greek Secondary Education. He also served as a Special Advisor
to the General Secretariat of Information (2004-2007) and General Secretary of
Mass Media (2012-2014). In January 2016 he was elected Assistant Professor of
General Church History at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Athens,
where he was appointed in June of 2016. He has 34 scientific publications.
Dr. Panagiotopoulos has extensive experience in Greek and European
Programmes and Projects. He is in partnerships with five universities out of
Greece and he has participated in more than a hundred international
conferences.
