BATTLE OF HILL 70
22 AUGUST 2017
The Hill 70 Memorial will commemorate the centennial of the Battle of Hill 70 on 22 August, beginning
at 3:00 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public. Those wishing to attend are asked to be seated in the
amphitheatre by 2:45 p.m.

14:20 p.m. Regiments conduct individual dedications
14:45 p.m. All guests seated
15:00 p.m. Replica aircraft overhead
15:00 to 15:30. Official party moves past story boards to Konowal Walk/story board for a brief
(5-10 min) ceremony conducted by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
Band plays from 15:00 until ceremony begins.
15:30 -- party arrives at the Obelisk to lay one wreath to the Canadian Corps.
15:45 -- all in the Amphitheatre 1 for ceremony:

16:30 -- children invited to lay flags at the grave stones of the 241 Canadians in the adjacent cemetery.
16:45 -- City of Loos/Hill 70 reception to the north of the amphitheatre.
