General information 
This  substance  may  be  used  as  a  production  auxiliary  for  plasticizers  or  as  a  solvent  for 
polymers including coating in swimming goggles.  
 
Toxicology 
It is toxic for the reproduction and the development and is also an irritant for skin and eyes.

Decathlon requirements 
This  substance  is  not  allowed  in  Decathlon  product  higher  than   1000   ppm  as   it  is  highly 
irritant and was the cause for eyes irritation before for customers using our goggles.

BENZYL BENZOATE, CAS 120-51-4 
 
General information 
It  is  mainly  used  as  a  solvent  during  the  manufacture  of  dyestuffs  carriers  or  as  a  leveling 
agent.  It  is  also  often  found  in  cosmetics  formulation  (sunscreen,  fragrances,  ...)  as  a 
performing solvent antimicrobial. 
 
Toxicology 
It  is  a  sensitizer,  suspected  to  be  the  root cause  for  some  skin  reactions  when  present  in 
garments.
