CINEMA is a twelve-month project implemented by South Forum for Cinema and Culture (FSCC) and funded by The
Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). The project aims to bridge the gap between the education system and the
job market in the film industry through developing employability skills of 40 university students in the region of
CINEMA will unfold over a series of organized workshops, trainings, and professional experiences designed to flow
into each other. After these workshops, the trainees will enter into a short-term engagement with project local
partners to bring the knowledge gained during these workshops into real life situations.
By the end of the second phase, the trainees will undergo into more advanced workshops that focuses on Screen
Writing, Makeup, Sound, Production, Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Costume Design, Set Design,
Communication as well as Business Management. During this time period, the groups will also continue to work on
their original projects with their mentors. Simultaneously, the Project Management Team will meet with all mentors
and university officials monthly until June to improve the university environment to utilize resources available at local
production companies and studios.
The project will close with a ceremony where all the trainees will screen their projects in front of cinema professionals
from all around the country.

South Forum for Cinema and Culture is a non-profit organization working in the cinema industry in Ouarzazate. The
organization was founded in July 2015 and its main goal is to enhance the culture of cinema among young Moroccans,
and to improve their creative capacities and skills using cinema.
Since its creation, the organization worked on different projects including panels, seminars, trainings, and festivals. Its
famously known for organizing the International University Festival for Youth in Cinema, a three-day event where
professionals in the cinema industry meet with students from universities to showcase their film and discuss ways of
collaboration, the festival is organized on a yearly basis and is known to attract professionals, students and tourists to
the city of Ouarzazate.

The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), located within the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. Department
of State, is a unique program designed to engage directly with and invest in the peoples of the Middle East and North
Africa (MENA). MEPI works to create vibrant partnerships and supports efforts to expand political participation,
strengthen civil society, empower women and youth, create educational opportunities, and foster economic
prosperity throughout the Middle East and North Africa. In support of these goals, the MEPI local grants program has
been operating in Morocco since 2008 and provides support to local NGOs, universities and think tanks in order to
promote positive change, expand opportunities for women and youth and help communities shape their own future.

South Forum for Cinema and Culture (FSCCO) seeks for 10 experienced trainers to work together with a group of 48
students in Ouarzazate, the trainers will travel to Ouarzazate between November, 2018 and February, 2019 where
they will provide the beneficiaries of a twelve-month project with the necessary knowledge to enter the cinema job

South Forum for Cinema and Culture is looking for senior trainers who will prepare, implement and evaluate the
training courses.
Following is a list of the selection criteria:

Must be experienced in the training subject.
Must have knowledge or experience in the Cinema Industry.
Must speak English and/or Arabic.
Must provide a clear planning schedule on the training
Must submit a cv and a cover letter

All applicants will be selected based on their experience, motivation and dedication toward developing the cinema
