Argument symposium

In an international and national context characterized by the difficulty of the countries not only
to improve the quality of life of the citizens and to offer more favorable conditions but also, for
certain nations including Morocco, to maintain and guarantee a level of sustainable
development offering more optimism to Youngs to get a satisfying personnal and social life.
Also, questions relating to the aptitude of the economic models adopted to give answers tp the
problems of the economic, social, political, cultural and sporting levels.
Historically, the world's economies have focused on traditional sectors such as agriculture,
energy, industry, and trade to ensure a growth rate sufficient to ensure sustained development
in response to structural changes. concerning demography. Faced with the difficulties of its
sectors in achieving the desired goals, services in general and new activities have offered
opportunities to face the ever-changing challenges that have become more and more complex.
Among the activities solicited for this new requirement of societies, families, young people and
women, the strategic role of sport and culture in new business models are known to be a driving
force for the future development of countries and regions. It is no longer a secret, during the
last decades, that nations integrate sport into their development plans, which has become
unavoidable in the economic models of each country.
If sport is recognized as much for its virtues in terms of personal development (selftranscendence, self-control, respect) and as a vector for sharing universal values (sharing,
solidarity, social cohesion) and social integration, it is also a powerful economic engine, creator
of wealth and jobs. Conscious by consumers increasingly aware of the benefits of sports, the
sport economy has grown considerably over the last 20 years with an annual growth rate more
than twice that of global GDP.
In doing so, the Organizational Management Research Group (GREGO), the National School
of Commerce and Management of Marrakesh (ENCGM), the University of Lorraine will
organize from 19 to 21 April 2018, the third edition of the international conference in
Governance and Performance.

This edition under the theme "the place of sport in the country's economic model" is
intended to be a meeting place for researchers and professionals to establish points of reflection
on the sports industry.
The theme of this third edition of the Governance and Performance GP2019 Symposium is in
continuity with that of the previous year. Indeed, this 3rd edition has several objectives:
