SHORTSTV INVITE YOU TO PITCH!
ShortsTV, the Short Movie Channel, is offering you the opportunity to pitch your next
short film project and receive €5,000 funding to produce it and get it on air across the
The Pitch will be held at the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival from 10am to
11:30am on Monday the 18th and Tuesday the 19th of May.
At The Pitch, you will have 2 minutes and 15 seconds to sell your idea on camera in
one take. This will then be followed by a 45 second reel of your past work from either
a short film or showreel with full clearances.
Successful applicants will be notified by Monday the 11th of May of their time slot on
either the 18th or 19th of May. If you are only available on one of the days, please
notify us of this with your submission.
Pitches may be broadcast on ShortsTV, and we may also broadcast an extract of
your previous work, up to 45 seconds maximum.
All pitches will be put onto ShortsTV’s voting page on Facebook on Wednesday the
20th of May. The five pitches with the most votes will then presented to a jury of
industry experts to decide on a winner.
The winner will be announced on Thursday the 22nd of May in Cannes. All short listed
filmmakers will need to be in attendance at the award presentation.
You must be registered at the Short Film Corner
You must have already made a short film.
You may pitch only in English.
Your film pitch must be wholly original to you and not infringe any third party
You must pitch your project in no more than 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
Your pitch to camera will be eligible and cleared for broadcast on ShortsTV
and ShortsHD across the world.
All pitched short films must have a budget of €10,000 maximum, not exceed
12 minutes in length and meet ShortsTV standard technical requirements.
The winning film must be finished within one year, or the €5,000 funding will be
ShortsTV will have first right of refusal to distribute and broadcast the film
The film produced on the winning pitch shall include a ‘Made in Association
with ShortsTV’ end slate, with ShortsTV logo.
To qualify for participation in The Pitch, please send your
entries BY EMAIL ONLY to email@example.com NO LATER than
WEDNESDAY the 6TH OF MAY AT 12PM (NOON).
