Monument to the 46th division at Auchy les Mines
“The procession will pass by the memorial on Place Jean
Jaurès then will head to the Memorial in honor of the
9th Scottish Division and 46th North Midland Division.
The ceremony will end at the Sports Centre Paul Barrois
with a speech followed by hymns sung in French and
English by the children. The Glass of Friendship [=
drinks] will close the ceremony.
On 27th September 2015 the brother of the Queen of England was killed at the Battle of Loos.
He is buried at Quarry Cemetery”
